Yoga in Somerset Creative Yoga: Yoga practice with depth. My speciality is "The yoga poses and their inner meanings". It is very calming, focused and active at the same time.

I have trained with the German spiritual teacher Heinz Grill who regards each pose as a gesture which expresses life's deep truths. Thus the yoga practice becomes a form of artistic expression. CLASSES IN SOMERSET UK:

What I love about this approach to yoga is that it is both health-giving and artistic. We work in quite a detailed way at the individual poses, activating some part of the body and relaxing others. This makes the positions both energising and calming. It also gives them a graceful beauty.

🆕 Yoga Intensive Course
Begins: 3rd January 2026, 9am

On the course we work thoroughly with a selection poses, breaking them down into their individual components so we can understand how they work physically and also what personal strengths are associated with them.

You will receive a lot of individual attention to help you overcome any difficulties and improve your practice.

Short practice cycles are given after each session so that you can practise at home in the intervening periods, and during the workshops we also discuss ways of finding time to build regular yoga practice into your life.

Training our processes of perception strengthens our sensitive nerves. In this class we guide our perception in a focused way to different parts of the body.

Poses include:
Surya Namaskar - The sun prayer
Natarajasana - The dancer
Uttanasana - The standing head to knee pose
Tadasana - The tree
Dhanurasana - The bow
Saumukhyasana - The balancing position, pose of cheerfulness

Strong sensitive nerves help us to guide our own lives with clear aims and can enable us to overcome tension and anxiety.

Konasana adjustment video ⬇️

In Konasana there is a fluid collaboration between the legs and the back. This adjustment helps the student to contract backwards into the sacrum and lengthen far outwards, from the sacrum, through the upper body. Finally the arms glide outwards freely into the expanse.
