Yoga in Somerset Creative Yoga: Yoga practice with depth. My speciality is "The yoga poses and their inner meanings". It is very calming, focused and active at the same time.

I have trained with the German spiritual teacher Heinz Grill who regards each pose as a gesture which expresses life's deep truths. Thus the yoga practice becomes a form of artistic expression. CLASSES IN SOMERSET UK:

What I love about this approach to yoga is that it is both health-giving and artistic. We work in quite a detailed way at the individual poses, activating some part of the body and relaxing others. This makes the positions both energising and calming. It also gives them a graceful beauty.

On Sunday afternoon, during the Yoga Teacher Training course at the Sun Oasis spiritual academy in Northern Italy, once the Yoga Teacher Training was over, we enjoyed a three-hour mountain walk, including the turquoise Lake Tenno. The autumn colours are spectacular at this time of year.

I took four of my own Yoga Teacher Trainees to participate in the Yoga Teacher Training course at the Sun Oasis spiritual academy in Northern Italy.

In this class we explore the connection between activity from the 3rd energy centre, manipura chakra, the breath in the supper sides of the body, just below the armpits, and the spine. We practise lifting the thorax away from the pelvis, feel the breath in our upper-sides, and notice how this brings a natural enlivening of the whole spine.

We were blessed with beautiful sunny autumn weather on the yoga teacher training course in Italy. On one afternoon we split into small groups so that more of the participants could practise their teaching. The mountain meadow in which the Sun Oasis academy is situated has many suitable areas for working outdoors. Here, one of the participants is teaching Halasana, The Plough.
