🎅✨ What a truly magical morning at our Santa’s Grotto! It was a joy welcoming all the wonderful children — and of course, every single one made the nice list!

Families enjoyed festive fun at our Christmas cracker making station, along with delicious mulled wine, mince pies, and lots of seasonal cheer all around.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. And an extra-special shout-out to our amazing team members, Elsie and Maria, for transforming into Santa and his clever little elf — you both truly brought the magic to life! We appreciate you so much 🫶

Last Friday, we said a heartfelt farewell to our wonderful carer, Greg 😢💙

Greg joined The Rectory at just 16 years old, and over the past two years we’ve had the pleasure of watching him learn, grow, and develop into an incredibly caring, compassionate and dedicated young man.

What many didn’t know is that, behind the scenes, Greg has been working hard to gain his HGV licence — and we’re delighted to share that he passed earlier this month! 🚛✨ He has already secured a new role and begun an exciting new chapter in his career.

Greg will be truly missed by all of us here at The Rectory, but we couldn’t be prouder. We wish him every success and happiness in his new venture. 🌟

One-to-one moments mean so much 💛
Yesterday, Sandra enjoyed a lovely trip into town with our Activities Coordinator, Maria.

They treated themselves to a coffee at Coffee Beans, spending the morning chatting, relaxing, and watching the world go by.

A simple pleasure and a morning well spent 🥰

🎃 Pumpkin season is here! 👻

Our residents rolled up their sleeves today and enjoyed getting hands-on — scooping out our pumpkin and turning it into a gorgeous floral centrepiece! 💐✨
A fun and festive activity bringing smiles, creativity, and a touch of autumn beauty to our home. 🍂🧡

Last week, we whipped up an all-time favourite treat – a delicious jam and coconut sponge to enjoy with our afternoon tea! 🫖🍰

Our residents loved getting hands-on in the kitchen, from creaming the butter and sugar, to cracking the eggs, and gently folding in the flour. The mixture was then carefully poured into lined tins and popped in the oven, filling the home with the sweetest aroma. 😍

Once cooled, we added a generous layer of jam to sandwich the cakes together, followed by even more jam on top and a sprinkle of coconut to finish. ✨

A truly tasty afternoon well spent! ❤️
