All of us at Nourish are delighted to announce that we are launching our very own brand new Nourish Antenatal Classes. As many of you will know, Nourish have been running pregnancy events for 3 years now, we recently added our antenatal workshops which has been very well received with excellent feedback, due to the success of these events and our continued passion and commitment to support local families, Nourish offering antenatal classes seems like the exciting and natural next step, especially as we have our very own Sarah Harcombe on board to write, design and facilitate the classes.
Sarah Harcombe is our qualified Breastfeeding counsellor; Sarah has been supporting families in this role for over 10 years. Many of you will also know that Sarah is an experienced qualified Antenatal practitioner, she has been facilitating antenatal classes locally since 2013, she also has over 8 years of experience as a Doula, supporting families in the south west on their parenting journeys. Supporting parents is her passion, Sarah is knowledgeable, warm, and compassionate, she uses her core skills of listening, non-judgemental support and sharing evidence-based information to enable parents to make informed decisions about their birth and baby.
Our aim is to prepare you for birth and to take you on a journey through the stages of labour.
The class is designed to help you to trust in birth as a natural process and to give you the confidence to make decisions and face any possibilities during your labour and birth.
We will cover.....
• The birth process from early phases of labour to birth and meeting your new baby.
• Breathing and relaxation techniques you can use to help labour progress smoothly.
• Positions to help your baby into a good position before and during birth, as well as facilitating the birth process.
• Meeting your baby, skin to skin and the first feed.
The class will be.....
• A 3 hour workshop via Zoom video call
• Relaxed & Interactive with group discussions
• Fun & friendly with a chance to make friends
Notes for your reference.....
• There will be comfort breaks throughout
• The class is recommended from 30 weeks
• Small groups of 6-8
Our first class is free for Wednesday 22nd April at 10am to the first 6 to book!!
