Let us take a moment to reflect, give thanks, and ensure their legacy lives on.

As we light up the sky tonight, let’s remember to celebrate safely and responsibly. Fireworks are beautiful, but they can also be overwhelming for some people, especially those with learning disabilities or mental health challenges. Loud noises and bright flashes can trigger anxiety, stress, or sensory overload.

Here’s how we can support everyone tonight:
💛 Be mindful of noise – Give neighbours, friends, and family a heads-up if you’re setting off fireworks.
💛 Create quiet spaces – If you know someone who may feel anxious, help them find a calm, safe place away from the noise.
💛 Offer reassurance – A little understanding and patience can make a big difference.
💛 Check-in – Reach out to those who may feel vulnerable tonight; a simple message can help them feel included and safe.

Let’s make this Firework Night joyful, safe, and inclusive for all. Enjoy the sparks, the colours, and the magic, and let’s spread kindness as brightly as the fireworks!

Stay safe, celebrate responsibly, and remember: small gestures can make a huge difference.

The ghosts are out, the pumpkins are carved, and the treats are ready… Halloween is here! 🕸️🕷️ Whether you’re dressing up, trick-or-treating, or indulging in candy galore, we hope your day is filled with fun, frights, and lots of laughter.

🎃✨ Halloween is a time for fun and creativity—but for some, it can also be overwhelming. People with autism or learning disabilities may find loud noises, crowds, or unexpected surprises stressful.

Here’s how we can make Halloween more inclusive:
🎃Provide quiet or low-stimulation spaces during events.
🎃Offer predictable routines and explain any activities beforehand.
🎃Respect personal comfort levels with costumes, masks, or social interactions.
🎃Encourage alternative ways to participate, like sensory-friendly treats or crafts.

Let’s make Halloween enjoyable and safe for everyone, so all our friends can join in the fun! 🎃💛

One of our supported people from the South West visited the fair this week and had an amazing time enjoying the sweet treats, rides, and even trying her hand at the classic Hook-a-Duck game to win a prize!

Although she sometimes finds busy social environments challenging, she was supported throughout the day by her team, who helped her manage any anxiety and guided her through the fun activities. Thanks to their encouragement, they was able to fully enjoy the lively atmosphere and make the most of her day out.

What a wonderful day! Our supported people enjoyed a special trip to the East Somerset Railway, stepping back in time to experience the charm of vintage trains and beautiful countryside views.

There were plenty of smiles as we explored the station, read about its fascinating history, and then boarded the train for a relaxing ride through the scenic landscape. The sound of the steam engine and the gentle rhythm of the carriage made the journey extra magical.

Days like this remind us how important it is to share experiences, laughter, and adventures together.
