Hi everyone,
So, I’m sure you’ve all been updated by lots of company’s and their policies with regards to the Corona Virus and how this it will work going forward – well here is mine with considering tonight’s update from the government.
• For now, I will still be offering face to face appointments, but if you would prefer to continue your therapy/Supervision via telephone or Video messaging (I work via Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom or Sylo) please send me a text on 07899 048256.
• In the event that all unnecessary face to face contact gets enforced to stop like other countries, You or I start to show cold/cough symptoms, you or I need to self-isolate – I am happy to again continue via phone or video messaging if appropriate. On a side note, as most of you who have seen me recently know I have had a funny throat and a bit of an occasional cough for a few weeks now, I will let you know if this develops into a fever or the cough becomes worse.
• For those who are already accessing appointments via phone/video message, again I will carry on as normal – unless one of us becomes unable to carry on.
• In the event the church where I rent my room becomes unavailable due to their policies, again I will happily continue via telephone/Video Messaging and let you know as soon as I am informed.
• For those who have been referred to me by Companies and EAP services, I will have to follow their instructions (some EAP services are already insisting on sessions taking place via telephone/video messaging only – I will contact you individually if this becomes the case)
• If you have a regular time slot and wish to work via telephone or video messaging, but this would cause a problem with you finding a confidential space – again, please send me a text and we will try to change you to a time more suitable.
• A reminder I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, although I am very sympathetic to this situation, please be aware I may need to gather some costs such as room rent etc if sessions are cancelled last minute at the least.
Another thing to note, is that If you test positive for coronavirus, the NHS is undertaking contact tracing, which means you'll be interviewed about people you've been in contact with. If I develop symptoms, I may need to disclose your name and contact details, but I will not mention the context in which we know each other.
Any questions or concerns, please do send a quick text and I’ll try to answer as soon as I can.
I hope we all escape this nasty virus, but if you do find yourself isolated and needing help, there are a few Facebook groups popping up for those all offering help including: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=coronavirus%20community%20help%20taunton&epa=SEARCH_BOX
Kind Regards
Joanne
