Last month we had our second family bingo night! It was a huge success and together we raised a whopping £282! This will go towards a new mini bus for our residents. A big thank you to everyone who came, bought raffle tickets and who donated to our huge amount of raffle prizes

We are delighted to announce that Anish, Betty, Mansi and Sleeva achieved their IPC champion education programme through NHS Somerset. This ensures they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support safe practice and inspire excellence in infection prevention within our care environment.

We've had a lovely few weeks- we've celebrated Halloween with a party with Tops Day Nurseries: Taunton Musgrove, had a wonderful visit from Sharandys Birds of Prey and were thoroughly entertained by magician The Magic of Graham Prigg. We've also been busy doing arts and crafts for bonfire night, topping up our homemade Christmas cakes and honouring Remembrance day

We had a lovely time this morning getting in to the Christmas spirit (a little early!) by making our Christmas cakes! Complete with a little tipple for some of us🎄

Autumn has arrived at St.Georges 🍂 we've also recently enjoyed a trip out for coffee, a harvest festival service at St George's Church, Wilton, Taunton and lots of singing and dancing with singers Chris and Joe. We've also been spending time doing some puzzles, arts and crafts and enjoyed talking about things that make us smile for World Smile Day 😊

Yesterday we had a fantastic visit from John from South West Heritage Trust talking about 'food and farming'. We've also had some fun games recently and made the most of the last of the summer by playing games in the courtyard. We also hosted an afternoon tea for Breast Cancer Now and enjoyed a visit from the brilliant Bunny Basket Somerset 🐰
