As a Registered Yoga Teacher and a BASI trained Pilates Teacher, I am dedicated to guiding individuals towards greater health and wellbeing through the transfomative power of Pilates and yoga. My mission is to help each client unlock their full potential and experience the myriad benefits of a consistent Pilates and yoga practice. Having also worked as a qualified Personal Trainer, I have had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in the corporate world such as Coca-Cola and ExxonMobil, delivering comprehensive employee health and wellbeing programmes. These experiences have further fueled my passion for empowering individuals to prioritise their physical and mental health. At OmCore Pilates & Yoga, I believe in creating a supportive community where everyone feels comfortable and empowered to reach their full potential. In my small and welcoming classes, you are not just another face in the crowd, but instead you’ll receive personalised attention and modifications tailored to your needs. A big thank you to all the wonderful women who joined me this morning for our Pilates for Women’s Aid event. 💜

It meant so much to come together — to move, relax, chat and raise funds for a life-saving charity — and to be reminded of the power of women supporting women. This cause is very close to my heart, making it a truly special morning.

In true Pilates class fashion, I was so engrossed in teaching (and enjoying a good natter and some homemade flapjack afterwards!) that I completely forgot to take any photos — so here’s one of me post-class instead.

To all the women who come to Pilates with me each week, thank you. The kindness, encouragement and friendship you share is what makes CORE by Laura such a special community

It’s about both activating individual muscles and coordinating them together to create controlled, effective movement. The details matter — precision can be the difference between truly engaging a muscle and missing it, and between progress and plateau.

I know many of you have found this week’s classes challenging, even as we’ve been going back to the fundamentals. Don’t be disheartened!

Pilates can feel tougher the more skilled you become – and that’s actually a great sign. As your body awareness grows, your movement patterns improve, and you start recruiting the right muscles more efficiently, exercises become more precise… and yes, more challenging!

With every class, you’re building strength where it counts and training your body to move smarter!

Pilates isn’t a sculpting class.
It wasn’t designed for abs, booties, or bikini bodies.

Joe Pilates didn’t create Contrology to help people tone up. He designed it “to develop the body uniformly, correct posture, restore vitality, invigorate the mind, and elevate the spirit.” It was never about chasing aesthetics — it was about restoring function, balance, and true wellbeing.

🧡 1. The people. The laughter, the chats before and after class, the effort and commitment — it’s the people that make it so special.

🧡 2. The calm. That moment when everyone settles onto their mats, the world outside fades, and the focus turns inward — finding that mind–body connection, fully present, everything else on pause.

🧡 3. Watching progress. The subtle shifts — a stronger, more stable core, better posture, moving with greater ease, and a little more confidence each week. It’s such a joy to see.

🧡 4. The flow. Every class has its own rhythm — shaped by the group, the energy, and what everyone needs that day. No two sessions are ever quite the same.

🧡 5. The afterglow. That feeling when class ends — grounded, balanced, and just… better.

✨ This time last week I was travelling back from London after completing the Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies course with the brilliant Samantha Wood at BASI Pilates!

It was an incredible few days of learning how to better support clients with specific injuries and conditions such as disc disease, post-surgical rehab, rotator cuff syndrome, osteoarthritis, and so much more.

I’m so grateful to Sam for sharing her expertise and wisdom — I’ve come away inspired and equipped with even more tools to help people move with freedom, build strength, and live without pain through Pilates! 💪✨
