What might happen when you practise yoga together?

You might discover new ways to move.
Using shared weight, balance and support to explore shapes you wouldn’t find alone.

You might lean on someone else.
Literally and metaphorically. Finding trust through simple, supported movement.

You might laugh more than you expect.
As any initial awkwardness softens and connection takes over.

And you might leave feeling lighter.
More open, more connected, and a little less alone in your practice.

This Valentine’s season, we’re widening the definition of love. This partner yoga workshop isn’t about couples only. It’s about connection in all its forms. Friendship, community, shared presence, and moving in relationship with another human.

Come with a partner, a friend, a family member, a studio buddy, or come on your own! You do not need to bring a partner. We will pair you up with care.

The practice will be slow, grounding and accessible, with supportive postures, assisted stretches and playful partner balances. No yoga experience needed. No pressure. Just humans practising yoga together.

February Theme: Ahimsa as Active Love

Ahimsa is often translated as non-harming. (The letter “A” in the beginning of the word meaning the lack of, or the opposite of something in Sanskrit) But in practice, and in life, Ahimsa asks more of us than simply avoiding harm.

It invites us into the active presence of love, compassion and kindness.

Not passive.
Not permissive.
But kind.

Ahimsa is the choice to relate to ourselves, to others, to life, with compassion.

On the mat, Ahimsa lives in the small, quiet decisions:
Choosing sensation over strain. Backing out of a pose not from fear, but from respect. Using strength without aggression. Resting without guilt.

It’s also the inner dialogue we cultivate while moving: Can I meet this moment without harshness? Can I stay present without judgement?

Off the mat, Ahimsa becomes even more revealing.

It shows up in moments of friction…in traffic, in the mirror, in difficult conversations, when impatience or self-criticism begins to rise.

Ahimsa doesn’t mean collapsing boundaries or overriding our feelings. It means pausing, breathing, and choosing how we respond rather than reacting.

It asks us to stay kind without abandoning ourselves.

This month, we invite you to explore:
What would kindness look like right here, in this breath, this choice, this moment?

Ahimsa is strength guided by love.
And it’s a practice, on and off the mat.

With gentle sequences and mindful transitions, we explore poses that nourish the body and calm the nervous system. Movements are adapted and layered with care, inviting you to work at your own pace and in a way that feels right for you.

Whether you’re managing stiffness, returning to practice, or simply seeking a more grounded way to move, this class provides a welcoming space to reconnect with your body and breath.

Rooted in tradition and guided by modern movement principles, this is a class where strength is quiet, mobility is encouraged gently, and balance is supported every step of the way.
