Join me today at the Argyll Wellbeing Hub where I will be giving my monthly talk live and in honor of mental health awareness week. This year's topic is anxiety and unsurprisingly Chinese medicine and I have a lot to say about that 😉 I will also be doing a mini community clinic following the lecture this evening at 5pm

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, this months lecture will focus on Anxiety and what acupuncture can offer to help regulate the nervous system. It will be held in person at the Argyll Wellbeing Hub.

Had a great course with the amazing Dr. John Chen this week about the antibiotic effects of herbal medicine. I’ve had several patients recently with resistant infections and I’m so happy that we have the tools to help combat resistant infections with herbal and integrative medicine. Using antimicrobial herbs in a multi-herb formula is less likely to lead to resistance of individual compounds. Also the antitoxin effect of many Chinese herbs can help reduce the symptoms of the toxic bacterial byproducts which in bacteria like Shigella can be serious. Questions? Let me know in the comments.

Shigella causes shigellosis, an inflammatory diarrhea. The extensively drug-resistant strain is relatively uncommon overall, but it's being seen in more cases among adults.
