The total costs of these works are estimated to be in excess of £500,000.

A message of reassurance from Oliver:-

Legacy Independent Funeral Directors case.
Robert Bush has now entered guilty pleas for all 67 charges, including 30 counts of preventing a lawful and decent burial.

I thoroughly condemn these actions. They are a total betrayal of the trust families place in their funeral director and stand in stark contrast to the care, dignity and integrity that define the work of myself and many others across the industry.

This case has exposed clear gaps in the current model of regulation. Of course these call for the introduction of a robust, mandatory framework through the UK Funeral Director Code. Something that I welcome wholeheartedly.

I endeavour to uphold a rigorous set of standards, ensuring your family that the greatest care and respect will be shown to you and your loved one at all times.

Furthermore:

I would also like to remind everyone that, unlike Legacy Independent Funeral Directors, Oliver J. Knapman Funeral Service is a proud member of SAIF.

As a result, The business is subject to a strict code of practice and a programme of unannounced inspections of our premises, mortuary and procedures.

My thoughts remain with the families in Hull and the wider community as they continue their journey towards justice and healing.
