🚨 MENINGITIS AWARENESS🚨

There has been a serious outbreak of invasive meningitis resulting in two deaths and multiple students hospitalised, according to recent UK news reports.

⚠️ Recognise the Symptoms Early — It Could Save a Life.

Meningitis can escalate very rapidly, and early symptoms are often mistaken for flu, a cold, or even a hangover — especially among students.
Key symptoms to watch for include:
🔴High fever
🔴Severe headache
🔴Rapid or difficulty breathing
🔴Shivering, cold hands/feet
🔴Drowsiness or confusion
🔴A rash that does not fade under a glass (a major warning sign)
🔴Neck stiffness
🔴Sensitivity to bright lights
🔴Nausea or vomiting

If you notice these symptoms in yourself or anyone else, seek medical help immediately. Call NHS 111 for advice or go straight to A&E — meningitis can worsen quickly, and rapid treatment saves lives.
