This Christmas Day, we are thinking of everyone who is part of our care community.

To our clients and their families, thank you for the trust you place in us. It is a privilege to support you in your own homes and to be part of your lives.

To our CareGivers, some of whom are spending today supporting clients in their homes, thank you. Your dedication, compassion and professionalism make a real difference, especially at this time of year.

To our professional partners, thank you for your collaboration and continued support throughout the year. Working together allows us to deliver care that is truly person-centred.

Whether you are working, resting, receiving support or supporting others, we are grateful to each of you.

As we approach Christmas, we took a moment to pause and reflect together as a team.

Although not all of our Carers were able to attend, as many were out supporting clients, it was a privilege to spend time with some of our team and reflect on what has been a truly meaningful year.

This year has reminded us just how special our Carers are. From supporting individuals through frailty and post-operative recovery to helping people rebuild strength, confidence, and independence through reablement, the care they provide has gone far beyond tasks.

When Carers feel supported, clients genuinely feel the difference, and that was reflected so clearly in the conversations we shared.

To every Carer, whether you were able to join us or were supporting clients in the community, Thank You. It is a privilege to work alongside you and to see the difference you make every single day.

Wishing our Carers, Clients, and Families a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

We had the loveliest afternoon with our clients, their families, and friends at Newport Bowling Club. The room was full of smiles, laughter, and that comforting sense of togetherness you just can’t put into words.

A huge thank you to our very own Chanel, whose beautiful singing filled the room and truly made the afternoon feel magical and to Usman for playing the guitar. Thank you also to Anna, Community Link Worker from Telford and Wrekin All Age Carers Centre, for her thoughtful talk on the support available for family carers in our community. It was a powerful reminder that no one is ever alone in caring for the people they love.

Care is about making people feel truly seen, valued, and connected. It’s in moments like these that we celebrate the relationships we’ve built; sharing stories, laughter, and that all-important sense of belonging. Our clients inspire us every single day, and we’re so grateful to them and their families for trusting us to be part of their lives. It’s a privilege that we, as a care team, never take for granted.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Newport Salop Bowling Club for making us all feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of sponsoring the Wally Amos Over-60s Open at Newport Salop Bowling Club – and what a brilliant day it was.

With 32 competitors playing five rounds over seven hours in the summer sun, the energy and sportsmanship on display were fantastic. Huge congratulations to Paul Williams from Burway Bowling Club, who won in the final.

The event honours the memory of Wally Amos, a cherished member of the Newport Bowling club who bowled well into his 90s – and we were proud to support something that celebrates passion, purpose, and community at its best.

At Right at Home Telford, early intervention is part of our everyday approach — and we’re proud to say that tools like STOPandWATCH are already embedded in the way we work.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Nina from Partners in Care for a powerful refresher session on recognising and responding to early signs of deterioration.

We explored how STOPandWATCH continues to support our CareGivers in spotting subtle changes — whether it’s a client who’s “just not themselves” or showing new signs of confusion — and how that information can be shared quickly and effectively for early action.

We’ve already seen the difference this tool makes in helping our team communicate quickly and clearly, reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, and keep people safe and well at home.

We always strive to go above and beyond for our Clients, so it always touches our hearts when we receive such a lovely review. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to support families through their care journey - It's something that we do not take for granted and knowing that our caregivers make a meaningful difference in the lives of both clients and their loved ones is incredibly rewarding.. Dorothy (Daughter) wrote and said, "I am really grateful to the whole team at Right at Home as they have all supported me through some challenging times as well as providing excellent care for my Mom. They have been very accommodating when I have needed to change the times of visits or ask for additional visits. The Care givers are brilliant with my Mom, they are professional, cheerful, kind, patient and treat her with respect at all times. They are reliable and are always on time and will happily carry out household tasks without being asked. They have definitely gone above and beyond what I was expecting. The one-hour visits allow some time for socialising, as well as providing care, and they all interact with Mom which is lovely to see and very touching, but more importantly, it is beneficial for my Mom. I don't know how I would manage without them!"
