Court Street Medical Practice

Court Street Medical Practice At Court Street Surgery we aim to provide high quality health care to all our patients. We are fortunate to have many highly skilled staff.

At Court Street Medical Practice, we work as team, involving the receptionists, managerial staff and all the clinical staff in providing a truly integrated service. Please use all of our team members to help improve your health. Anyone living within the Practice catchment area is welcome to register with us and may do so by contacting a member of the administration team. If you change address please check with reception to see if your new address is still within our practice boundaries. As a patient, we will endeavour to provide you with the best possible health care. In return we would ask that you be courteous to our staff at all times and that you give consideration to other patients who may have more pressing problems. Please do not make unnecessary requests for home visits as they are extremely time consuming and please let us know if you are unable to attend an appointment so it may be reallocated to another patient. We reserve the right to remove you from our list should your behaviour be abusive or violent. We do not discriminate on the grounds of patient's race, creed, sexual orientation or lifestyle.

Today we celebrate Social Prescribing Day and our amazing team of Social Prescribers 💙

A reminder that health is about so much more than medicine. It’s about connection, community, and support. From local groups to creative activities, social prescribing helps people find what truly improves their wellbeing.

Social prescribing can support you with a wide range of needs, helping to improve your wellbeing by connecting you with local community services and activities that suit your interests. You’ll be supported by a Social Prescriber who listens, understands, and guides you.

It involves working with someone who takes the time to get to know you, focusing on what matters most, what you need, and what you enjoy.

If you are a patient at Court Street Medical Practice or Stirchley Medical Practice, please get in touch for further information:
📧 Talk2@telford-mind.co.uk

If you or your partner are expecting a baby, or have a child under two, we also have a team of Perinatal Social Prescribers. For more information:
📧 perinatal@telford-mind.co.uk

Let’s continue to recognise the incredible work of link workers, community organisations, and healthcare professionals who make this possible every day.

Today is Social Prescribing Day! 💖

Social Prescribing Day is an annual celebration of the people, organisations and communities who make social prescribing happen.

Many things that affect our health can’t be treated by doctors or medicine alone.
Like loneliness, debt, or stress due to financial pressures or poor housing. Social prescribing connects people to non-medical support to address these issues and other unmet needs.

At Court Street Medical Practice, we're proud to have a fantastic team of Social Prescribers.

Lung cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer in the UK. It is commonly diagnosed too late, due to there often being no symptoms at the earlier stages.

The Lung Cancer Screening programme helps save more lives, by identifying lung cancer at an earlier stage, when it is much more treatable. When lung cancer is diagnosed early there are more options for treatment and a higher chance of survival.

Lung Health Checks are offered to people who are registered with a STW GP Practice, are aged 55 to 74 and who are current or former smokers.
