Today, on Remembrance Sunday, Our founder Jim had the honour of laying a wreath at the memorial in Donnington on behalf of Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy CIC.

It was a moment to pause, reflect, and pay tribute to all those who gave their lives in service — and to those who continue to serve our country today. Their courage and sacrifice allow us to live, work, and build communities in peace.

At Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy CIC, we believe in teaching our young people the values of respect, teamwork, and gratitude — values that are deeply connected to what this day represents.

We will remember them. ❤️

At 11am today please STOP and take 2 mins to remember all those that have given their lives for us to live our lives today. There are many conflicts happening all accross the globe with men and women away from their families willing to lay down their lives for our homeland and Commonwealth nations, please also spare a thought for them and also those who have made it home but suffer ongoing injuries both mental and physical.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.💂"

Children enjoy half term activities thanks to Housing Plus Group funding

A total of £7,000 was distributed between 12 groups to support activities throughout the week, including Halloween parties, football workshops, craft sessions and trips.

Fantastic to be involved and deliver a Halloween workshop with our Kids Cafe Youth and residents of Lawndale.

"We had a day of pumpkin carving, planting, crafts, games and sports. Residents from Lawndale join in with planting, cake decoration and enjoyed talking with the children and breaking barriers down. The day was very successful.”

🔊 The Silver Threads Hall is holding Poppy Trail around The Silver Threads Hall and Lawndale to commemorate Remembrance Day and providing information around the History of WW1 & WW2 during our Messy Tuesday session.

🏅 We are honoured to welcome Cllr Jay Gough and Johnny Bradley from Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy CIC to open the trail, both of them are local veterans.

📅 Tuesday 4th November

🕑 10am until 11.30am

🗣 Join us for a morning of Remembrance Day Crafts and a Poppy Trail.

💷 £3.50 per child for the Messy Tuesday session. All money from the group will go to Royal British Legion

The trail will remain in place for two weeks for anyone wishing to take a look.
