This is what my dad said having just taken part in one of my recorded sessions...
"Your Tai Chi is very easy!”😄 The cheek of it!
Now let me add something important…
He’s about to turn 89.
Yes - Eighty. Nine.
He already practises Tai Chi at his local community centre every week. Because we live 4 hours apart he can't take part in my in person classes so I have set him up on Zoom.
And his verdict having done one of my classes?
“It’s not as complicated as my Tai Chi. It’s quite easy to learn and simple to follow. I really enjoyed it”
At first I though he was being cheeky saying how easy it was, but, actually that’s exactly what I want to hear.
Because Tai Chi doesn’t need to feel like you’re revising for an exam.
It doesn’t need to feel complicated.
And it definitely shouldn’t feel intimidating.
If an almost-89-year-old who already has his own practice can do it, enjoy it, and say it’s easy to follow…
Then maybe you can too 😉
My aim is simple:
✔ Clear guidance
✔ Repeated movements
✔ No rush
✔ No pressure to “get it right”
✔ Just steady, feel-good mindful movement
Tai Chi will leave you feeling grounded, calmer, peaceful and quietly energised as well as a sense of floating on air, not scratching your head wondering what just happened!
It is about allowing your mind to settle and move mindfully with ease and grace, no effort, just gentle steady flow.
So thank you Dad… I’ll take that as a compliment 💜
Tai Chi is being added to my Spring YinFusion Online Retreat on 29th March, if you're curious about trying Tai Chi please drop me a line for more information on my classes or join my online retreat which includes yin yoga, journaling, distance Reiki and crystal healing!
