Analysis of Child Speech - 📆 26th Feb

The first step in supporting effective clinical decision-making for children with SSD is a phonetically transcribed sample of a child’s speech. For children with moderate to severe SSD, further analysis of their speech is needed.

Regular, repeated transcription and analysis enable SLTs to monitor progress in therapy and change the intervention approach or targets as appropriate.

It also provides evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness of intervention and the value of SLT services.
