The Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) Grounds team, Biodiversity Group, and fourth-year apprentices have been busy planting 14 naturally grown oak saplings on our Telford site — strengthening habitats, protecting native species, and championing sustainable growth.

This hands-on project is helping local woodland thrive while bringing our people together in support of RPL’s long-term biodiversity goals.

Earlier this year, the London Construction Awards (LCA) 2025 brought the industry together for a spectacular evening, celebrating the very best of the UK’s built environment.

Excitingly, Ricoh UK Products Ltd’s (RPL) affiliate, Kenoteq, was announced as the winner of the ‘Excellence in Sustainability (Product)’ category.

The winning product, UK and US-certified ‘K-BRIQ’ is cited as “the world’s most sustainable, low-carbon brick”, manufactured using certified inert recycled construction and demolition aggregates, together with recycled pigments such as residual toner – some of which, is provided by RPL.

Growing Our CI Culture, One Skill at a Time 🌱📈

Yesterday marked the final day of our training with Craig Smith from Nissan, and it wrapped up on a real high.

Employees at Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) explored the PEDPEP (Preparation, Explanation, Demonstration, Participation, Examination, and Practice) training methodology, looking at how structured, consistent instruction can strengthen the way we work and support our teams on the shop floor.

Four of our senior manufacturing operators joined us as we built PEDPEP skills together, creating clearer processes, stronger training materials and more confident instruction.

Most importantly, the day highlighted why Continuous Improvement matters so much to us.

It gives our people the tools and confidence to excel, helps teams solve problems and share knowledge, and supports a culture where raising standards becomes second nature.

Supporting Men’s Health This Movember 💙

At Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) and Ricoh Printing Solutions Europe Ltd (RPSE), wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. That includes supporting the important conversations around men’s health.

This Movember, we’re proud to once again take part in the global movement tackling the health crisis that men face every day. Together, we’re helping to raise awareness and funds for mental health and su***de prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer, three areas where action is urgently needed.

Movember helps to fund projects worldwide, transforming how health services support men and changing the way we talk about these vital issues.

Last year, our teams raised an amazing £1,250, and this year our Mo champions Tom Barnes and Josh Coffey are leading the charge (with some impressive, and maybe not so impressive, moustache attempts to come!).

There are so many ways to get involved. Grow a Mo, move 60km for mental health, host a Mo-Ment with friends and colleagues, or create your own challenge. Every action helps to start a conversation that could save a life.

At Ricoh, we believe that wellbeing matters every day. Supporting initiatives like Movember reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a culture of care, compassion and community across our organisation.

Last week, on 8-9 October 2025, Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) had the pleasure of welcoming Tata Chemicals to its Telford site for a Shingo Discover Excellence Workshop, hosted by Chris Merriman of Manufacturers Network.

Over two inspiring days, the teams came together to dive deep into the Shingo Model™, exploring how principles, systems, and behaviours align to create a culture of sustainable operational excellence.

Delivered here at RPL, the workshop blended expert-led learning with hands-on Gemba insights – sparking fantastic conversations, shared reflections, and fresh perspectives on what true operational excellence looks like in action.

RPL's Transformation and Engagement Manager, Charlotte Dickerson, reflected on the day, saying: "We were proud to host the Manufacturers Network as they welcomed Tata Chemicals for a Shingo Discover Excellence visit — a powerful opportunity to explore principles of operational excellence in action.

Throwback Thursday 🎉

On 19 September 2025, Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) celebrated an incredible milestone – our 40th anniversary!

Hosted by Shropshire Festivals at the beautiful The Shropshire Golf Centre, it was a night to remember filled with laughter and pride in everything we’ve achieved together.

From our opening in 1985 to today, we’ve been at the heart of innovation and manufacturing, locally, nationally, and internationally, and we couldn’t have done it without our dedicated employees, customers, and partners.
