Off to supervision on a delightfully sweaty September evening 😎💦🌞😂

💟Did you know that all UK therapists have supervision, IF they are members of a regulated membership body? I recommend you check your therapist's credentials and qualifications, because unfortunately, psychotherapy is not really regulated in the UK. Anyone can call themselves a psychotherapist 😳
💟 "Supervision" is where we discuss and reflect on our work with a specially trained, experienced therapist, who abides by the same code of ethics and confidentiality as we do
💟 It's mandatory for both accredited and trainee psychotherapists (who are members of regulatory bodies)
💟 It helps us to help our clients
💟 Our clients retain anonymity whilst we discuss how best to work with them
💟 Therapists provide a holding space for clients, and supervisors do that in turn for therapists, during their process of reflecting and learning
💟 Supervisors also have special supervision for their supervisory work with another supervisor - really, no-one knows where this never-ending chain of supervision ends 🤷‍♀️🤣🔗
