Last class with my favourite PT 😢.
Nearly 9 years ago I walked into a scary gym place with no confidence , fitness nonexistent and wondering what the heck I’d let myself in for.
What some people don’t get about what became about my obsession with the gym is it’s not just about fitness. As my strength grew, my confidence grew. As my confidence grew my business became stronger. I started to understand myself more and what motivates me.
I hated sport at school. I still don’t like team games and ‘enforced fun’. But I’ll be forever grateful that one day I was brave enough to put my trust in others and try something different .
This didn’t come about because I wanted to get fitter. I had a client who had passed away and it shook me. It was the wake up call I needed. Not just to get healthier but to understand myself more.
I’d found the gym through the power of social media - watching a female flip a massive lorry tyre - and for some reason it was that image of female strength that inspired me to find out more. (😂 still one of my favourite things as it’s a reminder that I couldn’t even pick it up at first).
The point of this post - it’s about the people who become your supporters, your quiet cheerleaders in the back, the experts who can guide you that really matter but ultimately you have to make change in yourself.
Then the magic happens. 💪🏻
(Class wasn’t actually that long - I just forgot to turn the watch off 🤦🏼♀️)
