This is what collective rest looks like.
When the world is heavy, it’s ok to set that down awhile. In fact it’s essential. This is the deep inner work that’s needed, rest is not a luxury.
A cosy warm space nestled amongst the trees in Thetford forest, where you can just hear the birds outside the building singing in the trees. You can feel nature holding you.
Soft textures - fluffy rugs, blankets and gentle layers of sound.
Time and space protected and held for you, in dedication of ease, rest and sound.
A community space to linger after, chat with loved ones, journal, share stories and make new friends.
These were the gatherings this weekend at - Saturday for our birdsong sound bath with the added delight of handpan by (thank you Phil, we loved it!) and Sunday to honour the full moon and the seasonal threshold of Imbolc.
Yes, it’s a sound bath, but maybe it’s more than that? Collective tending to our nervous systems and rest as resistance could be one way to describe it.
Community care another - as always huge thanks for your generous donations to which will be added to and stopped off soon.
Big Monday love,
Nicky
