New Year
As we welcome a new year, We'd like to take a moment to reflect on the year gone by before embracing the opportunities ahead.

2025 has been a year of growth and dedication. Weโ€™ve seen an increase in demand for appointments, and our team has worked tirelessly to meet that need. Over the past year, weโ€™ve cared for more than 74,500 patients in person and handled over 15,000 telephone consultationsโ€”a testament to the commitment and resilience of our staff and the trust of our community.

Weโ€™ve introduced evening group consultations to help patients learn more about cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and menopause, and weโ€™re excited to extend these sessions in the new year.

As a teaching practice, weโ€™ve supported the training of Doctors who have gone on to qualify as GPs, welcomed medical students starting their training, and provided learning opportunities for pharmacists and physician assistants. A huge thank you to our patients who have supported these colleagues in their learning.

Our charity work has raised over ยฃ1,100, supporting causes such as Children in Need, Thetford Shines Brighter, and initiatives that directly benefit our patients.

Our team continues to grow and develop: Tiffany qualified as a Nursing Associate, and Sophie as a Pharmacy Technicianโ€”huge congratulations to them both!

Weโ€™re also proud that our Research Team has been named one of only 14 Primary Care Commercial Research Delivery Centres in the UK. This achievement opens exciting opportunities to improve patient care in the future.

A huge thank you to our whole team who come to work every day to put others firstโ€”itโ€™s not just a job, itโ€™s a vocation. We are here to help, but we ask that you always take a moment to consider: could you get advice from a pharmacist first, or use the symptom checker on your NHS app to see who is best suited to help you?

We donโ€™t make New Yearโ€™s resolutions (who keeps them?)โ€”instead, we take the positives from this year and aim to have even more next year.

Happy New Year from all at Grove!

๐Ÿšจ Missed Appointments Matter ๐Ÿšจ

In November alone, we had 183 missed doctorโ€™s appointments, including 24 repeat offenders, resulting in 2,670 minutes of wasted clinical time.

๐Ÿ“‰ Last week, there were 35 missed appointments, this amounts to 458 minutes of lost time. That was over 7 hours worth of appointments lost in 1 week!!

We often hear complaints that โ€œdoctors never see patientsโ€, yet every missed appointment is time set aside that goes unused and could have been given to someone else.

If you canโ€™t attend your appointment, please let us know as early as possible so it can be reallocated. Together, we can reduce waiting times and help our doctors see more patients. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’Š Think Pharmacy First This Festive Period ๐Ÿ’Š

People across Norfolk and Waveney are encouraged to order repeat prescriptions now and consider Pharmacy First for health advice over the festive period and bank holidays.

Community pharmacists can help with common conditions such as coughs, colds, sore throats, earache, insect bites, UTIs, shingles and more โ€“often without needing a GP appointment.

If a pharmacist cannot help, they can refer you to another service. If youโ€™re unsure where to go, NHS 111 can help.

๐Ÿ•’ Many pharmacies remain open over bank holidays, though opening hours may vary.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Check local pharmacy bank holiday opening hours and find more helpful information:
