Ex LOGISTIC BOARDER 26 | Flachau, Austria 🇦🇹🏂

6 Regt RLC sent 8 riders to Flachau to train and compete in the inter-RLC snowboarding competition — pushing mental resilience, physical robustness, and teamwork through learning a completely new sport.

The exercise tested soldiers across three demanding events:
• Slalom – one week of instruction to link turns under pressure
• Boarder Cross – high-speed knockout racing with four riders on course
• Slope Style – judged on height, tricks, flow, and control

🏆 Top Novice Team overall across all three events
🥇 Pte Whalley – Gold in Slalom and Boarder Cross

An outstanding example of adaptability, determination, and soldier development in a challenging environment.

As Mayor of Richmond, I was honoured to be invited to the Regimental Boxing Night: 6 Regiment RLC vs 3 Medical Regiment AMC on 2 December 2025, held in Dishforth.

My sincere thanks to Lt Col BJ Watts-Evans RLC for the kind invitation, and a heartfelt thank-you to Sgt J. McDermott for being such an exceptional host. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the evening truly memorable. The energy in the room was incredible, the bouts were competitive and disciplined, and the camaraderie between the regiments was inspiring.

Richmond has a long and proud relationship with the Armed Forces, and Richmond Town Council deeply values the strong link we share with all military units based in and around our community. Nights like this highlight not only the skill and dedication of our service personnel, but also the mutual respect and partnership that bind our town and our Armed Forces together.

I was also honoured to present the award for the Male Light Middleweight bout, a moment I will remember with pride.

My sincere thanks to everyone involved in delivering such a fantastic event, and congratulations to all the competitors who stepped into the ring with courage and commitment.

A memorable evening and one I was proud to attend. 🥊🇬🇧

Huge congrats to 6 Regt RLC’s own Sgt Maskell and SSgt Nosworthy for smashing the British Army Warrior Fitness Individual Finals at Pirbright!
Both represented the regiment brilliantly across six gruelling events designed to push every them to their limits — with Sgt Maskell finishing 1st and SSgt Nosworthy taking 2nd.
