If you or someone you know is living with a stoma, the Yarm Wellness Stoma Support Group is running today between 1pm and 3pm. It’s a welcoming, peer‑led space for individuals and family members to connect, share experiences, and ask questions.

💗 Breast Screening Open Day at North Tees Hospital. Please share to help spread the word!

North Tees Hospital is hosting a special Breast Screening Open Day, and everyone is welcome!

This event is especially helpful for first-time attendees and anyone with learning disabilities or neurodivergence who may want extra support or reassurance before attending their screening appointment.

📅 Date: 1st December 2025
⏰ Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm

You can attend to learn more about what to expect, meet the team, and get comfortable with the screening process. 💗

Find local support for carers this Carers’ Rights Day – Thursday 20 November 2025. The theme is “Know your rights, use your rights.” and is about raising awareness of the rights unpaid carers are entitled to and helping them get the support and recognition they deserve. 💙

Unpaid carers have key rights to ensure they receive the support and protection they need, including:
• The right to unpaid Carer’s Leave
• The right to request flexible working
• The right to be identified as a carer by your GP practice
• The right (and choice) to request a free flu jab
• Protection against discrimination and harassment
• The right to request a Carer’s Assessment
• The right to be consulted when the person you care for is discharged from hospital

Staff will be available to answer questions, share information, and offer hot drinks and cakes. ☕🍰
