The last visitor at Green Roof was my handsome buddy, Chewie the cockerpoo! This boy isn't overly keen on his bath but he chills out afterwards. He's well behaved on the table and then so playful and sweet once we are done. Chewie knows where the treats are kept and I'm sure he knows exactly how many are in my pocket too! 😂💚🐶💚

🎄 A Little Help Goes a Long Way This Winter 🎄

As many of you know, Hugo’s Small Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a small, registered charity that runs entirely on public donations and the kindness of our community. ❤️

In just the past month, we’ve welcomed a pregnant mum who gave birth to four beautiful kittens, and another mum with three kittens who were heartbreakingly dumped at our vets’ door. These little families are now safe and cared for, but every new arrival adds pressure to our already full sanctuary, which is home to over 80 resident animals who rely on us every single day. 🐾

With winter on its way, our costs for heating, food and veterinary care rise sharply — and we’re doing everything we can to keep Hugo’s going strong.
We’re so excited for our first ever Christmas Fair on Saturday 13th December at Hambleton Village Hall (4–7pm)🎅 it’s going to be a fun, festive evening full of handmade gifts, treats and family cheer.
But right now, we need a little extra boost to get us through the cold months ahead. If you’re able to help — whether it’s £1, or just by sharing this post — it makes a real difference to the lives of the animals who call Hugo’s home. 🐾

The next visitor at Green Roof was adorable Pomeranian, Annie! She arrived, excited to look in the toy box and see what was new. We got her groom finished first and then she had a good play with the squeaky toys. She's such a happy little sweetheart! 💚🐶💚

The first visitor at Green Roof today was beautiful Tibetan terrier x, Poppy! She's just adorable! Poppy loves a few treats and will snuggle into me if I get close enough. She is so affectionate and so excitable once we are done with her groom! 💚🐶💚

Prepare to fall in love...
The last visitor at Green Roof today was Kodi the Romanian miriotic sheepdog! He's absolutely huge; the size of a small horse and he's a perfectly lovely gentleman. Luckily, he used the ramp to get in the bath, with a bit of coaxing, and stepped onto the table (lowered to the floor) with no fuss at all. He really is wonderful! 💚🐶💚

The next two visitors were sweet duo, Angel and Peanut! Peanut popped in for a quick claw clip, as many treats as he could get and a cuddle! 🥰 Angel stayed longer and had a moisturising bath and tidy up. This little girl is extra special to me as she is my oldest client. She does so very well too. She's quite chilled out throughout her visit. Her mum thinks it's because she gets a break from Peanut for an hour! 😂💚🐶💚🐶💚

The first visitor at Green Roof today was gorgeous little Mason the shihtzu! Mason would much rather have stayed at home today as his mum got back from travelling just last night. Despite this, he was such a good boy throughout his appointment! He's such a sweetie! 💚🐶💚

Oh, Becks! He's such a lovely boy. 🥺 💚💚💚

We really need your help again - it’s to help a very special elderly gent called Becks. Becks is 12 years old and came in to us late last week as an emergency - another unwanted pet.

He has won the hearts of everyone who has met him - he’s gentle and just loves cuddles ( and he’s been getting plenty of those!)

Becks hasn’t been well though - he has been sick and has had some very very dodgy looking poos 💩💩💩. The vet has examined his tummy and all is not normal to the touch and she has therefore recommended that Becks have further investigations in the form of a scan and blood tests. We are desperate for a good outcome for our lovely old lad.

BUT the cost of the scan plus blood tests is going to be in the region of £300. Please could you help us out if you can with this wholly unexpected cost?
No matter how small the donation, every little really does help. We would be so grateful and if Becks could talk he would say thank you too.

The next visitor at Green Roof today was beautiful cockerpoo, Ruby! This girl is so affectionate and sweet. I get so many kisses and she loves having her belly rubs. Once her groom is done, Ruby starts posing before I can reach for treats in my pocket! She loves the routine we have! 💚🐶💚

The first visitor at Green Roof today was handsome lurcher, Dalton! This ex-Homeless Hound looks healthy and happy! He's an absolute dreamboat who has gotten used to being bathed and de-shedded now. He's also learned where the treats are kept! 😂💚🐶💚
