My name is Sarah Gillies. I started at Ryland View in 2013 as a housekeeping assistant. After 10 years in this role, I then saw a great opportunity to join the wellbeing team. The reasons for this were that I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with all the residents and relatives.
Seeing the residents happy and smiling makes my job worthwhile. As I am naturally a bubbly and outgoing person these shines through in my role, with my biggest skill being able to make the residents here a Ryland View enjoy group or 1:1 activity. One of our favourite activities that all the residents enjoy is live singing entertainers. Everyone loves to sing and dance along.
Recently we have opened our Bhappie Cafe where resident’s & relatives can enjoy a coffee and chat and time together.
My interests and hobbies are spending time with family & friends, going for meals, reading and spending time with my dog Cara.
