MSN Pharmacy Group is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of Pharmacy First and the vital role community pharmacies play in local healthcare.

Pharmacy First allows patients to get advice, consultations and treatment for common conditions directly from their local pharmacy, without needing a GP appointment. This means faster access to care and support closer to home.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about how Pharmacy First works, the conditions it covers, and how your pharmacist can help.

MSN Pharmacy Group is supporting the NHS Spring COVID-19 vaccination programme by providing vaccinations across our community pharmacy network.

Our trained pharmacy teams provide Spring COVID-19 vaccinations in a safe and professional environment, helping patients stay protected while supporting wider public health efforts.

Bookings are being taken from 7th April 2026, with vaccinations beginning on 13th April 2026. Please use the following link to make your booking, noting that bookings cannot be made before 7th April.

Important Patient Update: Meningitis

MSN Pharmacy Group is aware of the ongoing meningitis outbreak in Kent, particularly affecting young people.

Children born after 1st September 2015 will have been offered the meningitis B (MenB) vaccine as part of the UK immunisation schedule.

The meningitis ACWY vaccine is routinely offered to children in Year 9.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is actively working to contain the outbreak and is offering prophylaxis antibiotics to close contacts of confirmed cases. At present, no new guidance has been issued regarding access to the meningitis B (MenB) vaccine for the wider public.

There are currently no plans to offer the MenB vaccine on the NHS outside of the routine infant immunisation schedule.

Symptoms of meningitis can include:

• Fever
• Severe headache
• Neck stiffness
• Sensitivity to light
• Vomiting
• A rash that does not fade when pressed

MSN Pharmacy Group’s Bishop’s Castle Pharmacy will be undergoing a refit during week commencing 16th March, to improve the pharmacy for our patients and community.

The pharmacy will remain open as normal, however there may occasionally be some delays or minor disruption while the work is taking place.

The MSN & Lunts Pharmacy group is a small independent pharmacy group that has been serving families and individuals in the Shropshire, Birmingham & the Black Country areas for over 50 years.

Most of the pharmacies are situated in local communities which enable us to provide a professional however personalised service to residents. In addition, many of our staff are long serving which enables us to develop relationships with our customers so we can understand and best meet their needs, a crucial element to provide an excellent service.

All our pharmacies are accredited Healthy Living Pharmacies which has been achieved by the hard work of our staff. We provide a comprehensive range of NHS & private services. We work very closely with commissioners to enable us to continue to provide services that meet the needs of the local population and to enable us to improve the health and wellbeing within the community.

Building strong relationships between our pharmacists and patients is a key objective in all of our pharmacies so that patients have a trusted healthcare advisor in their local community in addition to their doctor.
