Sometimes you have it all together on Friday and by Saturday you don't have a clue. You could be feeling so light one minute and then suddenly it's like something heavy has just been off loaded on you weighing you down all day. What do you do?
Sometimes self care isn't about going on a holiday somewhere nice or treating yourself to a spa for some pampering. It's not all about bath salts and facial clay mask or massages. It's forgiving yourself for not meeting your impossible standards. It's accepting that you can't do everything all at once. Sometimes it's going to bed early.

This is your Sunday reminder that there will be days when you are not going to be productive, motivated or moving forward.
These are the days when you are meant to sit in silence and listen to your needs, whether that’s emotional, mental or physical.

There is no goal or some sort of achievement in life that is worth more than your mental health.

Sometimes I forget.
I forget how it is to be calm.
To be grounded.
To be centred.

Life happens and we get lost in the doing.

But as soon as I step on my mat, I am reminded.
I am reminded that all I need is to breathe, to slow down, to re-centre.

My mat has always been my safe space.

When I silence the mind, I am reminded that all is well and what is meant to surface comes through. I am able to acknowledge and deal with it head on, in a calmer state and full awareness.

Life happens and some days can get chaotic, that’s a fact. But if we have the self awareness, it helps us get back to truth and reconnect with ourselves.

From my heart to yours, I wish you a day that is full of awareness and may your heart be mindful. 🤍

True balance means mental, physical and emotional stability.
To find my center and being able to remain steady does not only help me work on my focus but also builds resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
I would say that it teaches me to approach life with calm awareness. One of the reasons why I’m so dedicated to this practice is that the more I learn about it, the more I realise I know nothing about it. Thus making everyday a learning experience. Absolute grounding at its finest. ✨

Our hips are the first line of defense when we are introduced to tension, fear, overwhelm and other negative emotions.

Our hip region is also associated with our sacral chakra which processes emotions like fear, sadness, frustration, loss and worry.

As we clench and tense up when we are faced with these emotions, we lock and store them into our hips.

My mission is to spread the practice of yoga and help others realise the vastness of benefits that come with it while being a part of a growing and supportive community that is inclusive, nurturing and caring.
