Eating Disorders Awareness Week 📢

Eating disorders are complex and can bring a variety of different and difficult emotions which impact upon daily life.

There are many forms of Eating disorders and many who suffer in silence due to shame. My work with early onset eating disorders focuses on providing a safe and secure therapeutic relationship to explore those heavy feelings of shame.

One for the parents to help everyday wellbeing👇🏻

Children’s mental health week 9th-15th Feb 🙂

▫️Bedtime chat- Having some dedicated time to talk openly with your child before bed can help promote a clear mind, stronger connections and a sense of safety for your child when there mind could be at its most active before 🛌

▫️Sensory input- Some children benefit from movement or physical outlets of an evening which can support deeper sleep, nervous system regulation and decrease stress after a full day of sitting at school 🏃🏻‍♀️

▫️Little Tokens- Notes in lunchboxes or a biscuit and cuppa ready for their homework set up can reassure your child that they are in your thoughts and help support self worth even with small gestures 📝

▫️Co-Regulation- If your child struggles to manage big feelings-giving a hug, taking some breaths together or holding hands when feelings are big can help to soothe your child if they can’t manage them independently 🥰

▫️Have Fun- Fun doesn’t need to be big days out, simple games or turning a task into a challenge can promote confidence and connection with everyday tasks 🤩

Hi I’m Poppy👋🏻

I run a local Therapuetic counselling service for Adults & Young people who are struggling emotionally. My experience is within trauma and attachment but I cover many aspects of emotional distress.

My space is located in a quiet and peaceful farm location perfect for outdoor walking or for staying in the comfortable therapy room.

I offer long term and some short term work and also take clients using insurance via Aviva, WPA and Bupa.

I currently have some rare availability for adults online sessions one evening a week. I’m operating a small waitlist for face to face young persons sessions.
