🎄 Christmas Hat Day at Tonbridge House! 🎄

Our residents and their families had a wonderful time celebrating the festive season together. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and a heartwarming Christmas sing-along led by the talented Kevin Walsh.

To make it extra special, everyone enjoyed delicious Panettone and a glass of mulled wine – the perfect way to spread Christmas cheer!

Yesterday we joined in the festive spirit for Elf Day in support of the Alzheimer’s Society! Our residents had an absolute blast playing ‘Elf Target Practice’ – lots of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of Christmas cheer all around. 💚

Thank you for a fabulous lunch! Thoroughly enjoyed by our residents

Staff and residents from Tonbridge House Care Home visited the college today to enjoy a festive Christmas lunch, all beautifully prepared by the learners with the help of Mags from Cook for Life. The learners did an amazing job cooking and serving the lunch as well as handcrafting the beautiful table decorations and gifts. A huge thank you to Kelly at Tonbridge House Care Home, Tonbridge, who continues to support our learners by providing valuable work-related learning opportunities, we greatly value your support and look forward to strengthening our community partnership.

🎄 Tonbridge House is Ready for Christmas! 🎄

Our amazing elves worked tirelessly over the weekend to make our home look truly festive! Yesterday, we celebrated by switching on our Christmas lights, and the joy on our residents’ faces said it all.

A special thank you to Welham Jones for donating a stunning real Christmas tree – it’s the centerpiece of our decorations and brings so much warmth to our home.

✨ A Special Visit from St Stephen's

Yesterday, Susannah from St Stephen’s Church joined our residents to create a beautiful Christingle wreath, now proudly displayed in our reception area. Each week, we’ll light the candles as a symbol of hope and light during this festive season.
What is a Christingle?
The Christingle is a traditional Christian symbol used during Advent and Christmas.
Our wreath includes four candles, each representing an important theme of Advent:
Hope
Peace
Joy
Love

This tradition reminds us of the message of Christmas: light overcoming darkness and love surrounding the world.
Thank you, Susannah, for bringing this beautiful tradition to life for our community!
