Meet the team:

Rachel Boulton RVN's journey is a brilliant example of how far a nursing career can take you.

Starting out as a VCA in 2011, Rachel went on to qualify as an RVN, spending time locuming across the UK before returning home to the Scottish Highlands, where she became Head Nurse.

After stepping away from clinical practice in 2021, Rachel explored a range of non-clinical roles - from remote sales to exam coordination and diagnostics - before joining Burtons in 2024.

Now, she’s our Veterinary Equipment Consultant and Territory Manager for Scotland, with a special passion for equine care 🐴

“The nursing profession has changed massively. Nurses now have more responsibility, autonomy, and recognition than ever before—and rightly so. It’s amazing how much of my practical knowledge still feeds into what I do every day at Burtons.”
