Welcome to Day 2 of International Essence Awareness Week. Dr Edward Bach – a 1920s Harley Street physician - rediscovered the ancient practice of creating flower essences a century ago ✨️💚🌷

Flower essence medicine is ancient in origin. Indigenous cultures such as the Australian Aboriginals talk about this kind of medicine being used for tens of thousands of years to balance mind, body, emotions and spirit. Medicine in this sense means that which strengthens our connection with the Great Spirit of Nature and with the essence, spirit or soul of one’s Self. This connection is a vital link which is still missing in our technologically focused world. And is much misunderstood too 🌏💚

When lock down happened in the pandemic, the first thing nearly everyone around the world craved was to be outside in nature. Instinctively, our deep knowing of this vital link called to us all 💚🌏

Nature holds the most incredible healing library, written in a language which is a veritable symphony of frequencies calling us to look away from the chaos and to remember how to live in peace, as peace, as who we are beyond the conditioning of ages. This is written into Mother Nature’s flora and fauna around our entire world. It is a language there for us all to understand and learn from. Flower and vibrational essences encapsulate this healing library of nature. My particular calling has been/is to work with the healing wisdom written in the garden and wild flowers of the UK 💐🌷💐

My passion is to bring this ancient healing wisdom of Nature alive in unique ways for our modern world to connect with. Welcome to International Essence Awareness Week 2023. I have worked personally and professionally with flower essences from around the world for almost 30 years, and have been producing my own essences since 2003.

I was introduced to the world of essences in 1994 through the Australian Bush Flower Essences, created by Ian White www.ausflowers.com.au

My life was very different then, and so was I 🤔 A total sceptic to anything outside the medical and science arena at the time, a very close friend suggested I try some of the ABFE to help various life issues I was struggling with 🌞 I politely took the essences so as not to offend my friend 😉 He gave me Ian White's first book too. Reading the first few pages ignited a spark deep in my soul 🌟 While I was mentally very challenged about taking the essences, I continued to do so, devouring the whole book👌😍 I very subtly began to notice changes in myself 😊 When I first met the Australian Bush Flower Essences, I was a board director of a well-known London Advertising Agency 🌟 6 years later, after attending all of Ian White's UK workshops, as well as Steve Johnson's Alaskan Essences www.alaskanessences.com Sabina Pettitt of the Pacific Essences www.pacificessences.com and the Bach Flower Remedies www.healingherbs.co.uk as well as many more, I left my Advertising job to train as a Flower Essence Practitioner with Clare G Harvey at the International Federation for Vibrational Medicine 🌟💞🌟 In 2003 I began co-creating my own essences, and the rest, as they say, is history.

An ABFE I have worked with a lot over the years is Boab, which clears negative emotional and mental family patterns and conditioning passed on from generation to generation. The Australian Aboriginals line birth pits with this flower, for their newborns to be free of the chains of their ancestors.

I will be sharing more about flower essences and their importance and particular relevance for our modern world as the week progresses.

What can flowers do to help bring peace to our world? 🌻🌏

When have you ever known the sharing of flowers to be connected with anything other than love, kindness, happiness, respect, joy? So many times you will hear me say flowers speak a language our soul understands 💛 Beyond the chaos of the human mind, there is always peace. A deep peace which we instinctively search for, and find in nature, and in flowers 🌻 Flowers are Mother Nature’s gift of peace, love, kindness and wellbeing for humanity, reminding us always that peace is who we are 💙💛

With current world events being so explosive, we hear and see the opposite of peace projected through the news. ‘All we are saying, is give peace a chance’ Thank you John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band for this song 🙏 Words are extraordinarily powerful. Flowers speak words of peace 💛🌻💙 So here’s something you can do to help bring the focus of peace to yourself, to the world, when chaos seems to overtake everything.

Our world and everything/everyone on it is connected through a matrix of invisible energy – proven by NASA, and known since time began by our wise Indigenous cultures 🌻 Take one flower which calls to you, place it on your heart and send peace to the world 🌍 See peace emanating from your heart out into the ethers and circumnavigating the world 💙💛 Energy flows where attention goes. The more of us who focus on peace and intend peace for ourselves and our world, the greater peace there is.

This may all sound too simple. Too farfetched. Put your own judgements and doubts aside for one day and just imagine PEACE for our world 🌍 And remember, change begins with ourselves. Be the peace our soul knows we are.
