FAQs

Where will we meet for sessions?

I offer sessions both in-person, and in some circumstances, online.

If in person, the sessions will be at my studio in Hildenborough.

Online sessions take place on Teams. Please ensure access to a private, confidential space with good internet speed.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are usually 50 minutes in length.

How often will we meet and how long will the therapy take?
​
Therapy requires a regular commitment for it to be fully effective, so generally, we will meet once a week.

The duration of the treatment is very much dependent on an individual’s needs as to what they want from the therapy. It is something we would regularly review during our work together and is very much led by you.

I work term time only.

Sarah is a Dramatherapist with almost 20 years’ experience working with children, young people and their families across a variety of settings, including NHS mental health services, prisons, grief charities and schools. Sarah provides a safe, supportive and confidential space, allowing children and young people to express their emotions through various creative outlets.

Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy, but instead of just talking, it uses creative methods to help people express and understand their feelings. You might use stories, play, art or music to explore feelings and emotions. You don’t need to think of yourself as creative to engage in dramatherapy, but it can be a helpful intervention if talking can feel overwhelming, or challenging.

Dramatherapists are registered and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
