This is a piece made primarily by my friend Hilary Ruxton with a little help from me! It was a practice piece of a turtle to be incorporated into a window in the waiting area of the new proton beam therapy unit at University College Hospitals London NHS Trust.

This piece of glass encloses a musket ball which was found in the garden of Lime Trees in 2012, formerly the grounds of Hollingbourne Manor, in Maidstone. The musket ball is believed to date from England's Civil War in the mid 1600's, when Cromwell's troops defeated Charles 1st Royalist Army.

This commission of a Sunseeker wall hanging is composed of 9 pieces of glass, the biggest of which is a piece of Spectrum Teal Green Water Glass measuring 50 cm x 12.5 cm. Spectrum Irridescent and Bullseye Striker glass have also been used to make the other pieces. Each piece has been copper foiled around the edge and a stainless steel bail glued to the top. Each piece hangs on extremely fine plastic coated stainless steel wire.
