Shutdowns demand absolute certainty.

Our fully operational VISICS digital confined space monitoring system is already supporting complex projects across the UK -delivering real-time oversight, rapid response capability and total peace of mind.

If your upcoming outage involves confined spaces, now is the time to plan with a provider that’s ready.

Delivering confined space training that truly reflects operational reality is at the heart of what we do.

Recently at our MRS Training & Rescue Knottingley centre, delegates took part in a City & Guilds High Risk Confined Space course. During the pre-assessment they worked through realistic, challenging scenarios designed to test decision-making, teamwork and situational awareness.

Conditions weren’t always ideal – which made the learning even more valuable. Reduced visibility, practical problem-solving and the use of specialist technology all formed part of a demanding but highly effective training environment.

Our Knottingley centre, like all of our 10 training centres across the UK, is purpose-built to support this level of delivery, equipped with the right facilities, equipment and expertise to ensure training is not only engaging, but genuinely prepares teams for real-world confined space operations.

High standards, experienced instructors and training that makes a difference.

Not all digital confined space monitoring is equal.

At MRS Training & Rescue, we own every part of our VISICS digital monitoring system – giving us complete control over maintenance, testing and deployment.

All equipment is:
✔ Cleaned
✔ Inspected
✔ Fully tested
✔ Prepared by our in-house experts

That’s how we guarantee reliability on every confined space operation.

Confined space projects don’t wait – and neither do we.

MRS Training & Rescue operates the UK’s only fully owned and operated VISICS digital confined space monitoring system, and it is operational and ready to support upcoming outages and shutdowns.

Owned by us. Maintained by us. Deployed by our experts.
That means total control, guaranteed readiness and real-time visibility when it matters most.

If you’re planning critical confined space work, speak to the team that owns the system.

Snowy scenes in Aberdeen ❄️

Winter has made its presence felt, with heavy snowfall across the city and more forecast this week. These conditions are a timely reminder of the challenges cold weather can present, particularly for those working outdoors or in remote environments.

Take care when travelling, plan ahead, and stay safe in the days ahead.

Risk assessment templates are widely used - but are they really keeping people safe?

Our latest blog explores the limitations of relying on generic risk assessment templates, particularly in high-risk environments such as confined spaces and working at height. While templates can provide structure, they can never replace competence, experience, and professional judgement.

We look at:
• Why templates often fail to reflect real-world worksites
• The importance of dynamic risk assessment
• How a tick-box mentality can undermine safety
• Why training and competence are critical to effective risk management
