🎄 A Christmas reflection and thank you from Mindmaps Wellbeing:

As the year winds down and we head into Christmas, we want to send a gentle reminder that this season can look and feel very different for each of us. For some, it’s joyful and full of connection. For others, it’s a tougher stretch of the year — a little heavy, a little bittersweet, or simply overwhelming.

Wherever you find yourself this December, we hope you can enjoy moments of rest and genuine comfort. Kindness to yourself matters.

Looking back over the past year, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has worked with us, reached out to us, or trusted Mindmaps Wellbeing to support their teams. Your belief in what we do means more than you know, and we truly appreciate every conversation and session delivered.

We’ll be pressing pause over Christmas week to rest and recharge, and our office will be closed during that time. We’ll be back in the first week of January, and we’re starting 2026 with something we’re really looking forward to: our next free wellbeing webinar:

Want flexible wellbeing training for your organisation? Here's an idea of how you can bundle together our 2-hour workshops to create a tailored training day for your team!
We recommend our Stigma Busting Package:

🟠 I Can Cope, Society Can't: Debunking taboos around coping strategies
🟠 Just Grow A Pair? The mental health cost of ‘man up’ culture at work
🟠 See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil: Challenging stigma in mental health and mental illness

Together, they offer a clear, research-informed way to break down stigma and misunderstanding about mental health and illness in your workplace. Each workshop stands on its own, giving your team practical tools they can use straight away — from understanding coping strategies, to handling the "man-up" culture of presenteeism, to challenging stigma and encouraging conversations about mental ill-health.

Because they’re delivered by registered mental health nurses, everything is grounded in real-world experience as well as clinical expertise, keeping the day relatable and genuinely useful. So forget the policy-mandated tick boxes - our training actually makes a difference.

🌟 When you book the maximum 20 people on each session, the fee works out at just £30 per head for a day of training!

If you’re looking for a wellbeing day that feels relevant, down-to-earth, and easy for people to put into practice, our workshop packages are for you.

🎓 Spotlight on Schools: More schools than ever have been reaching out to us in 2025 — a sign that leaders are seeing the real need for meaningful mental health training for staff. Not just to tick boxes, but to make a genuine difference before challenges escalate. Training that not only supports the mental health of your staff, but also has a ripple effect on your whole school community.

🔶 Many schools are already putting initiatives in place, like our applied psychoeducation workshops and the Compassionate Leadership course. When staff feel supported, the whole school community benefits. Stronger, safer environments help young people flourish and thrive.

🟢 Mindmaps Wellbeing’s training is led by Mental Health Nurse-Educator Tim Lloyd, who brings 18 years of NHS experience and over a decade as a Practice Tutor for the Open University’s nursing programme. Tim’s passion for teaching and helping others develop professionally naturally led to the creation of Mindmaps Wellbeing in 2018.

💡 If you want to strengthen your school’s approach to mental health, we can help. Our 2-hour workshops tackle the real pressures staff face — from stress, burnout, and heavy workloads to the daily challenges of managing safeguarding, behaviour, and pastoral care alongside teaching.

Through our many years of delivering training in workplaces, we understand that there are many barriers to effective wellbeing at work. We know you need solutions which fit around time and financial pressures, tackle poor staff engagement and which make a lasting impact to your people and organisation. This is why we have designed our products to be flexible and effective in a way you might not have seen with other providers.

🛠️ "Build Your Own" training packages with Mindmaps Wellbeing— personalised selections of our shorter workshops and longer courses to create a tailored package for your team for maximum value.

🟢 We’ll help you build a package that addresses the topics most relevant to your workplace right now — offering practical sessions that bust-stigma and give actionable strategies. The screenshot here offers some examples of this, but you have the flexibility to chose from our 14 specialist workshops.

❤️ Our 2-hour workshops focus on real human experiences like anxiety, stress and grief, embedding the principles of hope, recovery, and anti-stigma into every session.

❗We go deeper into topics that remain taboo even in 2025—from stigmatised coping mechanisms and harmful gender expectations, to persistent misconceptions about mental illnesses such as psychosis, and every day human emotions like anxiety.

💡Pair these with our 1-day Compassionate Leadership course, where we empower managers and aspiring leaders to do so with compassion and presence, creating positive ripple effects not just across your organisation, but across society.

❓ Do you really know why your staff are off sick? Because here's the truth:
Many would rather say they have a stomach bug than admit to anxiety or stress, for example - because stigma makes even common difficulties feel shameful. As responders, we might "turn a blind eye" instead of being curious about the real issues, and so stigma has won.

That's why we created our short workshop tackling stigma around mental health: "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil: Challenging Stigma in Mental Health and Mental Illness".

🟢 This session creates a safe and engaging space to unpack personal biases, challenge myths, and replace assumptions with true understanding and empathy. Stigma doesn’t just affect the person experiencing distress, it also holds back our ability to support recovery and build mentally healthier spaces for everyone. Participants are empowered to see beyond labels
and behaviours, and to reframe their understanding through a lens of hope, recovery, and insight.

💡 Real progress in wellbeing starts with embedding mental health literacy in our culture to reduce misconceptions. Ready to rethink your approach? Let’s start talking.

🫵 When it comes to mental wellbeing, your small actions can create lasting cultural change. We can all make a difference and break down the stigma surrounding mental health and mental illness.

Confidence and skill in having meaningful, sometimes difficult conversations can prevent issues from escalating. We shouldn’t have to wait for crisis or absence before stepping in. When people understand the signs and feel able to approach someone early, support becomes timely, compassionate, and far more effective. It should be a normal part of the everyday conversations we all have.

⭐️ We are proud to deliver mental health and wellbeing training that goes above and beyond what you may have experienced before. Lets normalise not stigmatise, because we all have mental health!

We know that mental wellbeing can be an intense subject, so we design our courses and workshops to be as fun and interactive as possible, with lots of laughter a part of the learning where we can. Our workshops are an accessible 2-hours, and packed full of practical, engaging content which humanises the topics and gives maximum value for our delegate's time.

Dementia affects families, workplaces, and communities—impacting how people connect, live, and work together. With over 900,000 people in the UK currently living with dementia, understanding it has never mattered more.

That's why we created our "Unravelling Minds; Demystifying Dementia Support" workshop. This engaging 2-hour workshop offers a fresh perspective on dementia, cutting through the clichés to explore its real-world impact.

🧠 We’ll look at the different types of dementia and how it affects daily life— not just for those diagnosed, but for families, workplaces, and society as a whole.

🟢 Beyond awareness, this session equips you with practical, human-centred strategies to support individuals living with dementia. We’ll challenge common misconceptions, navigate the complexities of communication, and consider the role we all play in fostering dignity, independence, and meaningful connection.

🟣 Whether you're a carer, or someone wanting to make a difference in your workplace or community, this workshop provides valuable insights, real-world examples, and the confidence to take action. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of dementia, a toolkit of supportive approaches, and signposts to expert resources for further guidance.
