Bath time with Dan 💦

We caught Dan on his lunch break giving the Peugeot a bit of TLC. Getting her all spruced up before our day of filming for our website.

It is hard to believe she is 9 years old and still going strong.

That said, she has had a few knocks. Written off in a nasty accident in 2021, and with the help of our friends , AngelVan1 was soon back on the road. Now with a new engine and gearbox (and few other bits and bobs), Dan says she is good to go for another 100,000 miles 🫰😇

A little something for our Butchery and Game Larder followers. Take a look at this great system and the wonderful story behind it.

Here is an example of our most recent installation of an IRRERA Meat Rail System for a new meat ageing and storage facility in North West London.

Working closely with our customer and the manufacturer A.I Guidovie, Daniel designed this bespoke meat rail system around the constraints of this 2.5m internal height cold room, powerful evaporators and a main building supporting pillar.

Here the hook height arrives 2m above the ground and the rails allow for good airflow and safe handing of the meat throughout the cold room.

Recently we keep getting asked the questions; ‘How is this system AI ?’
‘Was this designed by AI ?’
‘Did you use AI to work out the hanging capacity?’
In fact it is none of the above.

A.I are the initials of the late Signor Angelo Irrera, the inventor, who designed the system after a chance encounter with a butcher who described the risks handling, transporting and storing meat. From that conversation the idea took shape. And in the early 1970’s the development of the innovative internal hook rail system made a patented breakthrough that transformed the meat industry.

This pioneering solution improved efficiency and set new safety standards in the workplace.

Today, we at Angel Refrigeration are humbled to have been chosen to offer this solution to Butchers, Game Dealers and Stalkers across the UK and Ireland.

This year we made a decision to not exhibit at the Farm Shop and Deli Show. However, when we attended as visitors on Monday we instantly regretted it! Clearly the Craft baker’s association stand was the place to be🤩 We spent our time visiting our customers, sampling products from some of the best uk’s artisans food producers.
The Farm Shop and Deli Show is definitely a celebration of fresh and locally made artisan products. As always the highlight of the show for us is a visit to 🥧
We can’t help but give a big shout out to fellow specialist refrigeration suppliers ❄️👏🏻
We hope everyone all visitors to the show enjoy it as much as we do!

With Easter being a celebration of hope and new beginnings, we couldn’t resist sharing with you this short video, taken our dear friend Edwin, from the beautiful Lunna Peninsula in the Shetland Isles 🐖

This heavily pregnant sow was due to farrow yesterday (02.04.26) and is clearly conserving her energy for the big event 💤

This morning Julie and Simon are heading down to Plumpton College for the Butchery 2026 Showcase.

The van is loaded with the MEATico Meat 150 Table Top Meat Aging cabinet and a range of Tray Sealing Machines and trays.

Simon has the pedal to metal to ensure both Angel Refrigeration and Enterpack stands are set up ready for when to doors open 2.00pm for the Meat Product Awards entries.

We are so very excited for the afternoon and evening ahead, hoping to see many familiar faces from the Meat Industry.

What out with members of ! There will be lots of hugs coming your way 😇
