Welcome to the 3️⃣rd of March at LakeView! 💚 March is a month filled with wonderful occasions and meaningful dates to celebrate and recognise – and today, on World Wildlife Day, we’re embracing the beauty of the natural world around us. 🐾🌍

It’s the perfect opportunity to chat about wild animals – mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish – and to reflect on how incredibly diverse and precious our wildlife truly is. 🦌🦉🐢🐸🐟

We have plenty of lovely activity ideas to enjoy today! From gentle exercises to the joyful sounds of The Carnival of the Animals 🎶, watching inspiring wildlife programmes by the legendary David Attenborough 📺, to getting creative with animal crafts and colouring – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 🎨✂️

Yesterday, we were blessed with beautiful weather, perfect for our very first spring walk of the year. 🌤️ Our residents set off for a lovely stroll around our nearby area, taking in the signs of nature waking up all around us. We admired budding daffodils and delicate snowdrops 🌼🤍, and listened to the cheerful birdsong filling the air… oh, how wonderful Spring feels! 🌸🐦

Some of our residents chose to stay active indoors, enjoying a lively game of skittles 🎳 and tapping their feet to the timeless hits of the legendary Neil Sedaka 🎵 – music that brings back so many cherished memories.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to stay connected – to nature, to music, to creativity, and to one another. 💛

Here’s to a joyful March filled with fresh air, friendship and the simple pleasures that make each day special at LakeView. 🌷✨

Lighter mornings, brighter afternoons and the promise of new beginnings are just around the corner.

And meanwhile, here at LakeView, we had a truly splendid celebration last Friday as we marked the 9️⃣7️⃣th birthday of our dear Marjorie! 🎉💐

There was the most delicious peach cake 🍑🎂, heartfelt renditions of Happy Birthday, warm wishes, singing, dancing and so much joy in the air. It was a beautiful occasion filled with love and laughter.

On behalf of everyone at LakeView, we extend our most sincere and dignified wishes to our wonderful Marjorie — may your days continue to be filled with health, happiness, grace and the warmth of those who cherish you. 💖

Friday, 2️⃣7️⃣th – the last Friday of February 🌿

Can you believe February is almost gone? Time is gently guiding us towards spring, and with Daylight Saving Time arriving on 8th March, the clocks will soon move forward. We look forward to brighter evenings, longer sunsets, and that refreshing sense that spring is truly on its way. Hooray indeed! 🌷✨

Meanwhile, life at LakeView remains as cheerful and vibrant as ever.

Do you remember the classic Blow Football game? ⚽
This wonderfully simple yet engaging activity has long been a favourite. Using nothing more than straws and a lightweight ball, it encourages focus, breath control and gentle physical coordination. Most importantly, it brings laughter, friendly competition and joyful memories to our Residents — and the smiles say it all.

Darts has also been very much “on target”! 🎯
Our Residents creatively adapted the rules, transforming the game to suit our activities table. A brilliant example of teamwork, flexibility and shared fun.

Our Water Painting Therapy sessions continue to inspire artistic discovery. 🎨
These mindful moments allow our Residents to explore colour, creativity and self-expression in a calm and supportive environment.

A refreshing walk to collect the newspaper offered a breath of fresh air — a simple pleasure, yet such a powerful form of outdoor therapy. 🌬️📰 Sometimes the smallest outings bring the greatest joy.

And of course, our much-loved Pamper Session with Janine 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️
Beautifully styled hair for both Ladies and Gentlemen, leaving everyone feeling confident, cared for and simply radiant.

It truly is a beautiful and joyful time here at LakeView.

Good morning, dear friends! How are you all today? 💛

Here at LakeView, our days are filled with joy and laughter. Yesterday, we celebrated World Thinking Day, and what a wonderful day it was! 🌸✨

The weather invited us to wander through our garden, where the first signs of Spring are already peeking through… The temperatures are warmer, the sun shines brighter, birds are singing, and in our garden pots, the spring bulbs are bravely emerging – tulips, daffodils, and snowdrops… ah, how delightful! 🌷🌼❄️

The sunny days encourage us to enjoy outdoor strolls, soak up the golden rays, and simply feel the fresh air… oh, the bliss! ☀️🌿

Inside, the energy is just as vibrant – ladies exploring joyfully, singing along to karaoke favourites and dancing to beloved tunes, while gentlemen catch up on the latest magazine reads. 🎶💃🕺📖

Oh, Spring is in the air – and we are embracing it with smiles, laughter, and the sheer joy of living! 🌸💛
