✨ Davina’s Story – A Journey of Career Progression ✨
I began my career with Wiltshire Council in December 2018 as a Reablement Support Worker, supporting customers in their own homes to help them rebuild independence and confidence in everyday life.
By 2020, I progressed to the role of Senior Support Worker. This step allowed me to take on initial assessments, supervise and support colleagues, and work closely with other professionals to ensure every customer received high‑quality, person‑centred support.
In October 2024, I embraced a new challenge and joined the Urgent Care @ Telecare team as a Senior Allocations Officer. I was responsible for coordinating workloads, managing urgent referrals, and dispatching responders to telecare callouts to ensure people received timely help when they needed it most.
In November 2025, I returned to the Reablement Service as a Social Care Practitioner. I now complete needs assessments within customers’ homes, supporting individuals who require ongoing care and making sure the right support plans are put in place.
💼 My career shows how much you can grow within the Council—each role has helped me develop new skills, take on more responsibility, and continue delivering high‑quality care. I’m proud of my progression and excited for what the future may bring.
