Good Happy Morning 😁

Today marks VE Day, when in 1945 the guns fell silent across Europe and the world breathed a moment of peace after years of unimaginable loss. We honour those who stood firm in the face of fear, who fought in wars they never chose but whose courage helped shape the world we live in.

To every soldier, past and present, who has faced the battlefield, carried the weight of duty, and shown bravery beyond measure, we thank you.

You are the quiet strength in our history books, the reason we wake in peace.
Yet, VE Day is not just history, it is legacy.
It lives on in the freedom we walk in, in the rights we so often take for granted, and in the quiet strength of the soldiers who serve even now, facing new battles across the world.

Let us take a moment, let’s put down our phones and truly remember and to hold close the freedom that so many paid for with their lives, be grateful for the freedom we are so blessed with today.

Let us be proud. Let us be thankful. And let us never forget that peace was paid for, with real lives, with heartbreak, and with the hope that future generations might never have to know war the same way again.

They stood for peace they never got to see, so we could live in freedom they never got to know.
