What a lovely open day 💙

It was brilliant to meet so many kind, passionate people who care deeply about dog welfare and who volunteer their time to help look after and rehome dogs. We absolutely loved meeting you and your pets, showing you around our practice and chatting about the care we provide.

A huge congratulations to the amazing St Francis Dogs’ Home team on the opening of their incredible new kennels, and on such a successful and uplifting opening day; it was a privilege to be part of it. 🐾

St Francis Dogs Home will also be holding their open day at the same time - to celebrate the opening of their new site and kennels - so it’s set to be a busy, feel-good day for animal lovers in Newquay.

🐾 Lost Cat – Sadly Deceased 🐾

We’ve had a little cat brought into us this morning who was sadly found after being hit by a car on the main Allet Road, opposite the potato farm.

She’s a female, middle-aged, domestic short hair tabby, medium to large in size. Her microchip was registered to a rescue in Truro, but unfortunately her new owner’s details were never updated, and the rescue has no record of who adopted her.

We’re sharing this in the hope of finding her family so we can let them know and give them some closure.

🐾 FOUND CAT – ST DAY AREA 🐾

This gorgeous cat was handed into us on Friday after being found in the St Day area.

He appears to have been a long-term stray and is blind, but is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He is neutered and we believe he is an older male.

If you recognise him or know who he might belong to, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can reunite him with his family. ❤️

🐱 We have had a lovely grey male cat handed into us at our Truro practice; however is not microchipped and so we cannot get him home!

He was found in the Allet area yesterday evening, if you think he might be yours please get in contact to let us know! 🐾

It’s that time of year again where Boardmasters comes to Newquay, causing a slight level of chaos! 🎶

Please note roads are closed on the way to our Newquay practice, and are only open for residents and businesses!

This means we will be changing the way we see you and your pets for the following days next week:

- Wednesday 6th of August
- ⁠Thursday 7th of August
- ⁠Friday 8th of August

Our phone lines and WhatsApp will remain fully functioning, but should you need to be seen, we will ask you to go to our Truro practice as the drive will be quicker and allow you and your pets to be seen sooner!
