✨Heartfelt Memorial Keepsakes✨

At Carlyon Funeral Directors, we understand that saying goodbye to someone you love is one of life’s hardest moments.

Holding onto their memory can bring comfort, and we’re here to help you do so in a truly special and meaningful way.

During times of loss, finding a way to keep them close can bring comfort and peace and we’re here to help you do just that, with care and compassion.

Our beautiful keepsake glass art is lovingly crafted using a small amount of your loved one’s ashes, creating a truly personal and lasting tribute.

Each piece whether a ring, necklace, earrings, charm bead, paperweight, or cufflinks is available in a stunning array of colours, designed to reflect the beauty of the memories you hold dear.

Choose from 9ct gold, 9ct white gold, or sterling silver to create a piece that is as unique as the person it honours.

We’ll guide you through each step with gentleness; providing brochures, carefully measuring your ring size, and offering complimentary engraving of up to 25 letters, so you can include a special message or name close to your heart.

Remembering Margaret Barbary 🌾

We recently celebrated the life of Margaret, a strong, kind-hearted woman who spent her days close to the land she loved.

Farming wasn’t just her work it was her way of life.

To reflect her journey, we added wheat to her funeral flowers, a simple, meaningful tribute to the life she lived and the fields she once walked.

Rest peacefully, Margaret. You will always be remembered🌷🌹
🌾

Thank you to Flowers by Diane, Mount Hawke for the stunning arrangement….

On the 3rd of November at 6.30pm we are opening our doors for our first grief cafe, this will be led by Becky Thomas who has extensive experience in the bereavement sector.

Bereavement, grief and loss can cause many many different symptoms, and they affect people in different ways, there's no right or wrong way to feel.

We hope this time and space will allow those suffering bereavement and loss a place to find support with others sharing a similar experience.

There is no booking requirement, everyone is welcome.

Refreshments will be available.

On Friday, we came together to celebrate the life of a beloved and well-known gentleman, Graeme Low of St Agnes.

Graeme was fond of his friend Clive’s Ford Es**rt Estate. Upon hearing of Graeme’s passing, Clive generously offered to use his car to take Graeme on his final journey, a touching gesture of friendship and respect.

We captured beautiful drone footage of Clive driving to Graeme’s house to meet his family before the cortege began.

Graeme’s love for motorbikes was well known. He was one of the founders of the motorcycle group known as the Blackheads, a brotherhood that remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Friends and family gathered on bikes and in cars to honour his memory. The cortege began near Graeme’s home and made its way through St Agnes, passing some of his favourite local spots.

As they arrived at the crematorium, engines were revved in unison, a powerful, resonant farewell for a man who touched so many lives.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to many.

Ride in peace, Graeme. 🖤🏍️

Last night, we gently rested Matt in our Chapel of Rest for his final night in our home.

We surrounded him with flags, and scarves of his beloved football team; photos, messages from loved ones on wooden hearts and beautiful flowers.

As we were finishing up, Dave (our team member and owner) turned to me and said he was nipping to the shop and asked if I wanted anything.

Curious, I asked what the sudden urge was about.

He explained that during long chats with Matt’s family, he’d learned Matt was a Guinness man and in that moment, Dave felt he wanted to do something personal, something meaningful… to pay his own quiet respects.

So he bought Matt one last Guinness. Not just a pint but a final gesture. A quiet goodbye. A nod to the man he was and the life he lived.

Rest in peace Matt, it was an honour to care for you.

So proud of you, David ❤️…..

While I was away in Scotland, I was reminded once again how special our team truly is ❤️

Two families visited their loved ones over the weekend, and when I checked in afterwards, the feedback brought me so much pride.

One family told me that everything was “outstanding.”

Another said how reassured they feel knowing their father is being cared for with such kindness that their anxieties have been lifted.

To our amazing team: thank you. Your dedication makes all the difference, not just to those we care for, but to the families who trust us every day. 🌟👏

So proud of you ❤️
