Cornwall golfer, devoted husband, loving father and grandad who will be deeply missed.

Mike Reynard passed away suddenly on Tuesday 31st March 2026 at RCH Treliske, aged 64 years of Truro.

Beloved husband of Cheryl, devoted dad to Charlotte, Joe, Alex and Ellie and an adored grandad to Ronnie & Frank.

Mike was an honorary member of Moseley Golf Club, Worcestershire, where he started his golf career winning the Worcestershire Amateur Championship a record six times and also representing England over thirty times during the 1990s. Throughout his amateur career, he competed alongside some of golf's biggest names, including Justin Rose, Paul Casey, and Luke Donald. He was runner-up in the 1995 Amateur Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake and at his peak was regarded as one of England's finest amateur golfers of his generation.

Mike moved to Cornwall 23 years ago and won the South West Championship at Trevose Golf Club, where he was awarded honorary membership. Mike was a much-loved member and player at Trevose, representing both club and county teams over the last twenty years and winning the Cornwall Men's Amateur Championship three times. Mike was an integral player of the Cornwall Senior Men's winning team in 2024 when Cornwall made history and won for the first time ever.

Above all, Mike will be remembered not only for his achievements in the game, but for the kind of man he was - a loyal friend to many and a devoted husband, father and grandfather, whose love for his family was at the heart of everything he did.

Funeral service 12.30 pm, Friday 24th April 2026, Truro Cathedral, followed by private family cremation.
