Our team were delighted to attend the Towards Zero event at the Pavilion Conference Centre, at Royal Cornwall Showground today.

Each year the event brings our community together to support the ambition for zero suicides in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Our team were there to promote the variety of mental health and wellbeing based training that we offer.

Healthy Cornwall really enjoyed attending the Green Social Prescribing event on Bodmin Moor!

It was fantastic to join Cornwall National Landscapes and partners to celebrate the Natural Beauty and the Beast Project, which reconnects communities with Bodmin Moor’s stunning landscapes, rich heritage, and unique wildlife.

Why getting outdoors matters:
Spending time in nature can boost your mood, reduce stress, and improve physical health. Activities like walking, volunteering, and connecting with green spaces are proven to support mental wellbeing and help people feel more connected to their community.

Access Green Social Prescribing in Cornwall:
Green Social Prescribing helps improve health and wellbeing by connecting people with nature-based activities like walking groups, conservation volunteering, and community gardening.

✅ We had a great time as always with Kernow Youth.

🍍 It was fantastic to see the group put together such creative firework fruit kebabs.

🍌 The children and parents tried a whole variety of fruits and had some great discussions around all things healthy eating.

✅ Our CHAMPs team visited the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust Grenville and Renal Wards this week to carry out hospital checks.

These checks are important as they help to make sure reasonable adjustments are put in place for people with a learning disability and Autistic people. We're really happy to be working in partnership with the teams at RCHT to ensure the best for the people in their care 😁

We spent a couple of busy and rewarding afternoons at Chy Trevail in Bodmin and Liskeard Library recently, engaging with the community around all things Stoptober.

🗣 The response to the sessions was fantastic, with so many people stopping by to share their smokefree journeys with us; some just starting out, others celebrating amazing smokefree milestones.

✅ We spoke to lots of people about the variety of support options we have at Healthy Cornwall and helped them take the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

👥 It was also so lovely to have some people coming for a chat with the aim of wanting to explore ways they could support their friends and family in stopping smoking.
