We’re not just great views and fresh salt air down here in the South West, we’re abundant in seriously awesome humans delivering the goods. And one of those gems is Loulabel.

Based in Cornwall, Loulabel is a Reiki Master and Yoga guide who blends gentle yoga, Reiki energy and guided meditation to help you slow right down and actually feel. Her sessions are intuitive, nourishing and deeply restoring, the kind that leave you lighter, softer and wondering why you don’t do this more often.

You’ll find her offering 1–1 healing sessions, public yoga classes and workshops across Cornwall, as well as delivering Reiki training worldwide (local legend, global reach). Her spaces are warm, grounded and beautifully held, perfect for letting go, tuning in and giving your nervous system a well-earned breather.

We love the work of our local facilitators, events classes the talent across the south west has all your wellness needs covered.

So we’re very excited to share this very special three-part workshop series, led by the wonderful Nicki Lobsang, with each workshop gently closing in a deeply restorative sound bath from the gorgeous Imogen Tagney. A truly magical collaboration.

Inspired by the practice of Forrest Yoga (created by Anna Forrest, not created by trees sorry!), these workshops offer slow, strong and intelligent sequencing, designed to support deep connection, curiosity, and inner listening. Each session is created with intention, inviting us to move beyond surface-level practice and into something more intuitive and nourishing.

Expect deep, conscious breathing, space for physical and emotional healing, and the opportunity to reconnect with your inner wisdom. When we slow down and truly tune in, movement becomes more meaningful — especially when shared in community. There’s room here for playfulness, exploration, and discovering new sensations and insights within familiar shapes.

We've gone all in on Sauna's for the tail end of winter - and why not? For so many people across the South West, this wellness nugget has been the glue that has held this season together.

As the sauna festival closes from the 16th of February, we're encouraging you to visit your local, go and try something different, but whatever you do go and say hi to the lovely bunch of humans who are pouring their time and love into building their sauna businesses so that you always have somewhere cozy and warm to retreat to when you need to fill your cup!

Wendy Liu and Mika Meskanen will be joining The Cornish Sauna Festival in 2026!

Wendy Liu

Co-Founder of the British Sauna Society + Creative Director
Wendy is an architect, yoga teacher, and multidisciplinary artist who blends the worlds of space design and holistic wellbeing. From her work with the British Sauna Society to leading immersive sauna rituals, Wendy’s approach to wellness is all about creating spaces that nurture both body and mind.

Wendy, alongside her partner Mika, runs SaunaWave, combining Finnish and Chinese traditions with contemporary design to offer wellness retreats, rituals, and bespoke sauna experiences.

Mika Meskanen

Sauna Master + Tech Innovator
Mika is Finnish-born, London-based, and a true sauna believer. By day, he’s a tech startup designer. By night, he’s a sauna master, freediving enthusiast, and breathwork aficionado.

In 2014, Mika helped kickstart the British Sauna Society, with a mission to put the UK back on the map of great bathing cultures. Now, alongside Wendy, he’s creating incredible sauna experiences and wellbeing retreats that bridge the gap between technology and traditional sauna culture.
