On National Pharmacy Technician Day (21st October 2025) we proudly celebrate the hard work, skill, and growing importance of pharmacy technicians across all our four surgeries in our PCN: Chacewater & Devoran Surgeries , Carnon Downs, Perranporth Surgery and St Agnes Surgery
Jenny, who joined in 2022, works on the north coast of our PCN with the teams at St Agnes and Perranporth and Sarah, who joined us in 2024, works with us at Carnon Downs and Chacewater. Both have over 20 years’ experience in either community or hospital pharmacy.
Pharmacy technicians now have more independence and recognition as skilled, registered healthcare professionals so recent updates are part of a wider effort to make care more joined-up, flexible, and focused on using everyone’s skills to their fullest.
Future changes to training, supervision, and education will give pharmacy technicians even more opportunities to shape their role in modern healthcare, helping improve patient care and make our systems run more efficiently by supporting our clinicians across our PCN.
