Yesterday I had the true privilege of holding a Mother's Blessing for a gorgeous soul who has been attending my Mother-Daughter Circles for the last 9 months (the first one when she was just 2 weeks pregnant!)

It has been so special to witness her journey through this pregnancy and then welcome her into ceremony yesterday, surrounded by her closest sisters.

Together, we sat with Mama Cacao, shared in circle, crafted a gorgeous bracelet infused with prayers and intentions, softened into a sound journey, shared delicious food, filled a jar with affirmations and love notes for Mama's post partum time, had special 1:1 connection and bump painting time and an intimate closing ritual allowing space for mama to be held in any way she needed.

Mother's Blessings are a deeply powerful way for a community to gather around an expectant mother.. to hold her, nourish her, celebrate her, witness her and listen to her. To remind her how supported she is.

Whether it is her first or seventh baby, every mother deserves to be held in this way.

It feels even more special that the first ceremony to be held in the womby embrace of the Yurt since her rebirth was a Mother's Blessing.

I keep meaning to share some thoughts & feelings to express the gratitude i am feeling for the community who have supported us with the relocation of our yurt over the past month...but as is so often the case with deep feelings, words just don't do it justice.
As I reflect, an overwhelming, tingly, warmth spreads from my heart through my entire body. I am so blessed.

& thank you for helping us lovingly take Yurtrude down with a days' notice (& providing an incredible lunch to share on the decking afterwards!) Joseph, thank you for making sure the tree beings were ready to welcome us safely into their embrace at Sowena.

Simon, Robina, & Karl for welcoming us on to your beautiful land of & providing Yurtrude with her peaceful woodland nesting space (& for trusting me with Sowena cabin to hold space in while the yurt was in pieces)

The INCREDIBLE for accepting my plea to create her magic on the door and crown - we are over the moon 🌙

The EPIC collection of incredible folk who came out to help with the Re-B-Earth, spending your entire Saturday with us, tying knots, navigating wind gusts, lining up poles, lifting canvas, drilling holes, pouring cacao, entertaining the beautiful collection of wild small humans running around, providing cake & delicious snacks & bringing such a wholesome community experience - i am overwhelmed with gratitude and bursting with love.

my incredible man! The chief of operations - there's nothing you can't do. You've sanded & oiled 66 (thousand!) poles, cleaned every peice of canvas & insulation inside & out by hand, spent hours & hours hand sewing a new window for the roof cap, sanded, painted and fixed the doors and crown, deconstructed and then reconstructed the decking and base, fitted new flooring, fitted a woodburner & built the flue support, handbuilt the most beautiful waney edge wood shelves (amongst many, many more things) all whilst working full time and still being a present partner and father. Hello!

I’ve been thinking for a while about reintroducing myself here.

I first visualised and named Al-Ki-Myst in 2019, and officially birthed the business in 2021 after moving to Cornwall. Both of those moments feel like a lifetime ago now.

Over the past few years I’ve experienced huge personal transitions, most notably becoming a mother. This shift has deeply influenced my passions, my capacity, what fills me up, how I show up, and what I feel called to offer.

It has also brought real clarity about who I want to serve.

So…

I hold circles and ceremonies for women.

Women moving through life’s thresholds - becoming mothers, healing after birth, navigating identity shifts, reconnecting with themselves, or simply longing for deeper and more meaningful connection with other women.

The spaces I hold are gentle, but really quite powerful. I only offer what I know I have needed myself, still need, or once needed but didn’t have access to.

Women may arrive tired, heavy, unsure why they came… and leave feeling more at home in themselves than they have in a long time.

There is an energy in a sacred space that allows the responsibilities, burdens and masks we carry in everyday life to be left at the door. Stories are shared that have never been spoken aloud before. There is space for honesty, self-awareness, compassion and connection with sisters who listen with open hearts and not an ounce of judgement.

Supported by ceremonial cacao, sound, ritual and space-holding with deep care and integrity, I create environments where our nervous systems are tended to, inner voices can be heard again, and women feel truly seen, supported and empowered.

My work centres around:

✨️ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ✨️

As many of you know from IG stories, email newsletters and the latest ceremony updates, our beloved Yurt is moving to new land 💚

Her home in Idless Woods was so beautiful in many ways, surrounded by trees and nature. Sitting in ceremony under the full moon, listening to the owls and the flow of water from the stream was pure MAGIC.

But that land isn't where she is destined to be and I felt that truth rise up every time I arrived there. I had no motivation to create the outdoor space around her that I have dreamt of, no desire to hold the types of offerings that I have brewing in my mind or expand Al-Ki-Myst with the ideas that are bursting to be birthed.

At Imbolc and with the bold and firey energy of the full moon in Leo, and I got really clear on our vision for the Yurt and the land that we want her to live on.

Literally a couple of days later, an unexpected and very exciting conversation with occurred and less than a week after that, the plans were made.

Another week on and we were taking her down (HUGE gratitude to and for your incredible support).

We are spending some time tending to her and will be rebirthing her very soon on the beautiful land of . Nestled amongst the trees a stones throw from Betty's gorgeous Cabin, the Yurt will now live on land that is loved and cared for with such devotion and I can already feeeeeel the magic that is going to be created.

I will be holding my next few circles and ceremonies in the gorgeous Cabin at Sowena HQ but hope to be back in the womby embrace of Yurtrude by April (please pray for some sunny days!!)

Never underestimate the power of manifestation or how quickly things happen when you are able to get really clear on your vision!

The Mother-Daughter Circles are growing into something that feels deeply important and essential within my work, and I’m so grateful to the mothers who trust me to hold space for their daughters. I am inspired every single time by the magic, honesty and wisdom the girls bring into the circle.

Last Sunday’s circle coincided with the New Moon in Capricorn, with self-love as our theme. As with a Women’s Circle, we open sacred space, share cacao, and pass the talking stick. There are short, gentle guided practices - some to help each person root into themselves, and others to invite a deeper connection between the mother and daughter they arrived with.

There are many opportunities to share, followed by creative ritual and movement time outside (led by the girls!) We close with a sound bath to rest and integrate, and I think every single girl fell asleep during this part on Sunday 🥰

With each circle, my intention is to create a space where the girls feel safe to truly express themselves, without fear of judgement or being given advice. The experience is also designed to deepen the mother–daughter bond, allowing for conversations that may not come easily or naturally in a home environment.

It’s deeply important to me that these circles are held with the same level of care, reverence and integrity as spaces I create for adults. I believe in welcoming the girls into a world of ceremony, ritual, and respect for the natural world and our place within it.

🌸 𝑨 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 🌸

A Mother's Blessing is a gathering of women coming together in circle to hold, witness, celebrate, and honour an expectant mother before she gives birth. Woven into the fabric of a Mother's Blessing is the intention to share wisdom, hold space for fears, offer support, delve deep into the shadows, and dance with the light.

It's a celebration of the Divine Feminine, a sacred way to honour the expectant mother in her transition from Maiden to Mother, in whatever way she may need. Each blessing I facilitate is bespoke, tailored to the unique needs and desires of the mother, with rituals and activities that resonate deeply with her journey.

While these gatherings can be deeply moving and reflective, they are also full of joy and celebration! We can incorporate movement, music, sound, and even massage into the ceremony. For first-time mothers,especially, it might be one of the last opportunities to be surrounded by her sisters without the need to care for another being. This is a time for her to receive - to be heard, celebrated, and cared for in a way that reminds her how important she is in this process.

Cacao can add a profound layer of depth and sacredness to the Ceremony. She creates a sense of connection and grounding, offering gentle support as we hold space for the mother and her intentions.

My own Mother's Blessing was held a week before my son was born, and its impact was profound. I felt deeply held by the sisters who gathered around me. I was heard in my fears and supported in my hopes for the birth and beyond. The gifts they offered - poetry, sigils, written affirmations - became treasures I carried into my postpartum time. Even during the hardest moments, I could feel the presence and love of the women in my community.

A Mother's Blessing is a beautiful way to celebrate a mother-to-be and remind us all of her significance in this sacred process. The child will undoubtedly be celebrated - but let us not forget the woman, the one devoting herself to nurturing this new life.
