Came across this beauty over the weekend.

It's already got planning permission for 7 self contained flats for supported living but that expires in March next year.

Time to do some research and find out why it's not been built out. Could it be there's no commissioner support, maybe the site is contaminated and would cost too much to remediate, maybe the vendor couldn't find a provider, or maybe they couldn't secure an investor to buy and develop for them.

Watch this space, let's see if it's a viable site and we could have 7 new supported living homes here.

I love uncovering the story behind a builiding.

I was research this boarded up, derelict building for a supported living provider who wants to create 7 or 8 self contained flats for adults with learning disabilites.

When I looked into the planning history this photo of the building taken in 1910 popped up. It started life as a large family home and was sold in 1901 to Miss Amy Elizabeth Reynolds who started a girls’ school there. In 1935 it became a conservative club and that continued until 2014 when it closed down and has fallen into disrepair since.

I'd like to secure this for one of my providers but the price is too high at the moment. I'll be negotiating hard on this to see if I can get a good reduction to make it a viable purchase.
