Pregnant mums, try this super quick uplifting daily practice to help lift your mood and boost your energy.

(Not suitable for pelvic girdle pain).

1️⃣ 30s Cat-Cow
2️⃣ 1 Min squat - twist
3️⃣ 1 min forward bend with twist
4️⃣ 1 min squat side stretch
5️⃣ 2 min balance
6️⃣ 30 seconds glute release
7️⃣ 3 min flowing lunges
8️⃣ 1 minute child pose

It only takes 10 minutes ⏰ and you can do it daily.

New mums…. if you’ve been calling yourself crazy, lazy, moody or failing lately - pause.
�Your nervous system has been through a lot.�Here are 6 things that might actually be coping, not failing 👇

1. 🧴 Being obsessive about germs - your brain is wired for protection right now. It’s trying to keep your baby safe, even if it tips into anxiety.

2. 🚪 Avoiding leaving the house - the noise, overstimulation, logistics and public gaze can feel like too much when your system is overloaded.

3. 🌙 Not being able to sleep when the baby sleeps - your body is still on alert mode, scanning for danger instead of resting.

4. 🧺 Letting chores pile up - not laziness. Your nervous system literally shuts down when it’s maxed out.

5. 💬 Snapping or crying over small things - postnatal rage is real. It’s your body’s way of saying “this is too much,” not that you’re an angry person.

6. ❤️‍🔥 Resenting your partner - not because you don’t love them, but because you’re craving to be seen. It’s hard when they don’t fully grasp the invisible load you’re carrying.

We were never meant to do this alone.

Maybe last week was hard.�Maybe you lost your patience, snapped, cried, or just felt done.

You get another chance to show up, perfection is a myth.
This week maybe remember:�To breathe a bit deeper.�To see the good in tiny things.
To celebrate your wins and not mull over the difficulties.�To remember that one bad week doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Motherhood, life - it’s hard, sometimes horribly hard, sometimes manageable and occasionally blissfully easy but your whole experience is totally human.

Here’s to starting again.

The Power of Your Birth Environment ✨

Where you give birth - and how that space feels - matters more than most people realise.

Leaving your home is the first disruption of the process of birth!

Our birthing hormones flow best when we feel safe, private, and unobserved. That’s when the limbic brain (our emotional centre) can relax, and nature’s incredible physiology can do what it’s designed to do.

Bright lights, strangers, and clinical settings can sometimes interrupt this flow, especially when hospitals are busy or feel pressured to “move things along.” This can lead to more interventions, leaving many women feeling disempowered or even carrying hidden layers of loss or trauma, despite everything looking “fine” on paper.

You deserve to birth in a space that supports your body’s wisdom, calm, safe, and undisturbed. 🕯

Hi! I’ve been teaching yoga for the last 20 years. I’m a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. I teach Antenatal Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, baby massage, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Hypnobirth and Active Birth antenatal workshops for couples.

Antenatal Yoga: Mon 7.30pm - 8.45pm. Postnatal Mummy and Baby: Monday 11.45am, Weds 10.45am, Friday 11.45am Vinyasa Flow: Tues 8pm - 9.15pm, Weds 9.30am - 10.30am, Thursday 7.30pm - 8.30pm, Fri 9.30am - 10.30am.
