Rest is often not the best form of recovery. A lot of the time people rest their injuries and pain in the hope and illusion it’s getting better.
In actuality, you’re just not doing anything to highlight the problem. Just because you can’t feel it, it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
If you don’t pull the pin on a gr***de, it doesn’t mean the gr***de isn’t still there - and I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable living with a gr***de in the pocket.
However, when people do ‘rest’, this is what most peoples rest looks like.
