Mount Ephraim House

Mount Ephraim House Newly renovated, Mount Ephraim House is a residential & dementia care home with 57 en-suite bedrooms. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard.

Mount Ephraim House has a distinguished and aristocratic history dating back to 1606. It is an impressive, period building set on the hilltop overlooking the town, which has many excellent shops, cafΓ©s and restaurants. It has delightfully well-kept, sheltered gardens and walkways. Much of the interior is classical with carved wooden ceilings, panelled walls and stained glass windows. Accommodation
Mount Ephraim House has a total of 38 bedrooms, several with en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. In addition, we have a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms. Residents may have a telephone in their room at their expense. Dining
Our catering team is committed to providing interesting and nutritional meals. Residents are offered a varied menu for each meal, with a choice of tasty and well presented food. Residents may eat in the dining room or take meals in their rooms if desired. All medical and special diets are catered for. Staffing
A qualified and experienced Manager and team provide 24 hour management cover for the home, and they are ably supported by trained care assistants, catering and domestic staff. Facilities
The home has a beautiful, historic sitting room, various smaller seating areas throughout the home, a games room and a library. A passenger lift is available to the upper floors and an emergency call-bell system is fitted throughout the home. The home arranges a regular programme of activities, outings and trips for the residents. There are also regular visits by a hairdresser and chiropodist.
