Mount Ephraim House

Mount Ephraim House Newly renovated, Mount Ephraim House is a residential & dementia care home with 57 en-suite bedrooms. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard.

Mount Ephraim House has a distinguished and aristocratic history dating back to 1606. It is an impressive, period building set on the hilltop overlooking the town, which has many excellent shops, cafΓ©s and restaurants. It has delightfully well-kept, sheltered gardens and walkways. Much of the interior is classical with carved wooden ceilings, panelled walls and stained glass windows. Accommodation

The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. In addition, we have a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms. Residents may have a telephone in their room at their expense. Dining
Our catering team is committed to providing interesting and nutritional meals. Residents are offered a varied menu for each meal, with a choice of tasty and well presented food. Residents may eat in the dining room or take meals in their rooms if desired. All medical and special diets are catered for. Staffing

The home has a beautiful, historic sitting room, various smaller seating areas throughout the home, a games room and a library. A passenger lift is available to the upper floors and an emergency call-bell system is fitted throughout the home. The new year often brings small resolutions – to learn something new, to feel more prepared, or to take better care of the people we love.

If thoughts about an older loved one have been quietly sitting with you, making 2026 the year you become care-wise doesn’t have to mean big decisions. It can start with understanding your options, having open conversations, and knowing where to turn for trusted advice.

Our free Warmth of Care resources are here to help you explore care at your own pace, whenever you’re ready.
